Fried Calamari for sale! Akylios goes down!!!!

I'm proud to announce that we killed Akylios tonight after a long and grueling month's work of dodging waves, breaths, and jumping off platforms. Great job everyone who helped us to get this far. We progressed in this fight in less than half the time of the other guilds. It was an honor to be a part of this great achievement.

Going forward, the Hammerknell raid will be undergoing some changes. At least until the new 20 man dungeon is released we are breaking down our raiding nights to the following:

Wed: Hammerknell for beginners - We will kill the first 4 beginner bosses. While we cannot bring in 20 new people, I will be attempting to fit people who've never been in before. Please contact me in game and sign up on the calendar. Sadly, it will initially be only a handful at a time. But that number will increase as we go on.

Fri: Hammerknell for intermediates - Bosses 5-10 will be killed. Time permitting, we'll even try to make more fried calamari. You will need at least 100 unbuffed water resist to participate in this night.

Sun: Akylios farming. In order to participate, you'll need 170+ unbuffed water resist and 360 Focus/Hit.

Once again, great job everyone. I could not have asked for a greater group of people.

Well done Guys and Gals. It was a long night but we did it. Thank you to bentmer for putting up with us all threw thick and thin. And Btw Bentmer I am still waiting on my coffee.

Oh I am so proud of you all! Does this not make Gaiscioch the 2nd official Faeblight native guild to finish HK??? Kinetic got it native guild shard first last week. I think we get the #2 slot... Awesome for a self-proclaimed CASUAL guild! And oh please tell me one of you was making a video as you went through the fight!

Yes, we are the 2nd guild on the server to down Akylios before transferring. Technically, Kinetic is a 'xfer guild' or whatever. But they transferred here before Hammerknell came out. We are unique amongst the current Guardian raiding guilds for a few reasons: 1> We're the oldest running group by far. There's a core 10 of us who progressed through to get the server first on Greenscale and now all the way to Akylios. 2> We raid only on average of 8-9 hours a week. This is normally way less than half what true raiding guilds put in per week. 3> Our group reflects the same ideals as our family. We don't discriminate against people inside or outside the family. Good people are good people no matter what guild they belong to. I'm extremely proud of not only this accomplishment but the fact that we did it in around 4 weeks time which was half the time I believe that Kinetic did. I'm also proud that just about every person in our group is a native Faeblight person who had no prior Akylios or even Hammerknell experience before joining us. This is no jab at any other guild by the way, an Akylios kill is hard no matter what. But this is not just about the 20 of us who were there for the kill. This achievement could not have been done without the help of alot of people along the way. There are more people than I can count who have come in and helped us progress or those who have generously donated mats and supplies. Of the tier 2 raid dungeon content, we achieved the first (RotP) and second (HK) kills despite our casual status and our less than hardcore guild rules. Sometimes people like to tease us about how big we are, but this shows that we have not only quantity but also quality in this family. Anyways before I get all weepy and emotional, I'll stop my rantings. About those videos, I actually do have fraps installed and I always mean to actually start video capture but something always distracts me from pressing the button. I will fraps the whole HK dungeon like I once did for GSB. I will be taking requests for artists or songs to use for my videos. As a reference, I used Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Madonna for music I think in GSB lol. There is no pop music that is so bad I will refuse to use it.

Hmm... given the length of the Aky fight... you should use the full length version of the Star Wars Theme (disco version) by Meco. It's 14:33 long so it should fit the fight :P
