FFXIV Echoes of Excalibur Update

I hope you all enjoyed beta, I had a blast.

From a leadership perspective, we will be announcing officers next week after beta finishes. We have a solid team to assist us in building our little community. Since beta phase 3 numbers have grown substantially, which is great to see.

Just in case you have just joined, or are unsure, we are playing on EXCALIBUR server from the start of phase 4 Open Beta (date tbc).

Our free company will be formed as soon as phase 4 starts (providing SE do not change the rules of creation on us!), and we will be sending out invites then. It makes sense to go right to FC, rather than linkshell as you get rewards for levelling your company.

I urge everyone to at least make a toon on Excalibur right at the beginning of phase 4, in case the server gets full. Legacy players, transfers are closing, so if you have not already, apply for a world transfer if you wish to join us.

Connor and I really appreciate the support we have received on this venture.  We thought it would be cool to have 10 people on the same server, and now we have a decent sized band ready to take Eorzea by storm!

Hex, has it been decided whether we're going to change the short tag <echos> for launch?  Dunno about anyone else but I don't really want <obviously incorrectly spelled> after my name. :)  Wouldn't <echo> work just as well?

Or we could petition for six character tags, doubt that would happen tho.

@Shmi...you made me laugh. Connor and I were talking last week and I said "Why would you run around with an incorrectly spelt name, that is just dumb. It should be ECHO." So it definitely is Echo ;) (Honestly, who would do otherwise, right!!!!!! duh!) I was not around on Leviathan for spelling duty, but I will be supervising this in phase 4!!!

Technically speaking, "echos" isn't an incorrectly spelled word - it's a homonym to the word we actually want ;)

Unless of course, we are referring to the ancient music mode (wiki search if you graduated high school after they killed off music lessons in public schools - I'M NOT BITTER!).

I for one am really stoked for this. My brother and I both played during 1.0 and i have had a blast in the beta. ( he refuses to play till he can keep his progress). I look forward to exploring with you all!!

We could go with Eckδs - that's technically correct spelling if you are a Marc Eckδ fan!

I really had now issue with Echos.  Still gets pronounced the same.  ;)  Echo or Echos works for me.  Then again I'm not all that hard to please and easily amused.
