Coming back to this game last week or so, I figured I would hate the scenerio grind for rvr weapons and still love the orvr.
Funny thing is I think I'm liking sc's more overall because I get to know our fellow guildmates and how they play.
IE I always have wanted to play and get to know how Korzak liked his dmg spec'd 2H Ironbreaker. Thing is I NEVER once really got to play with him. Now I have and I look forward to playing with him more in scenarios.
Granted I still haven't gotten my 1st rvr weapon, but I am VERY surprised I like scenarios this much. Though I do want to point out, I'm not doing them as a grind fest. I do sc's when I have a spare 1 or 2 hours at night and when there's no orvr planned. Also I may not feel this way once I get my warlord or royal weapon, but I'm more optimistic than I thought I would be.
Orvr on the other hand, unless Daghdre/I/Someone else leads a guerrilla style warband, seems just like a boring zergfest. Granted this means a TON of free renown, but ultimately it's fairly boring. There definitely has been plenty zerg vs zerg fights and these are fantastic to be a part of, but for every one of these, there's probably 3 to 4 just mindless zergs taking one BO after another.
Bottomline: I am getting a much better mix than I ever expected to. At this point I feel like my rvr in this game is 50sc/50orvr and that's probably what the devs were trying to achieve. Now if I can get better at figuring out how to lead guerrilla style warfare effectively without feeling like I'm doing RvE half the time, I'd be EXTREMELY happy.
