Dawn of a New Age - 12 Soldiers Invited To Protect the Kings Honor

Greetings My Brothers and Sisters,
The Tuatha has been summoned to battle in the defense of our king. I have received 12 invitations for soldiers to step onto the battlefield. Choosing 12 from the 39 families that make the active Tuatha was not easy.

While I'd love to invite everyone, I need to think about this strategically. Who should I invite to better help our realm in the coming warfront. Who needs the training in advance? I have decided the best people to fit the coming wave would be the Leaders of warforces. Other things I have to consider is who can and will use vent, who will show up to every event. Those I have chosen have been at most if not all of our events since their joining of the Tuatha and have led warbands for the family.

I know there is no way about going about this that will not cause hurt feelings but this is the cards we have been dealt and those that I have chosen need to focus on making sure this new city is the best it can be. It will rejuvenate the population of our server and quite honestly the fate of the game lies in our hands. If you do not feel that you will be able to give it due time and effort please let me know so I can replace you with someone that can. I will also see what I can do to get this increased to the 24 man slot if at all possible.

I will be videoing as much as I can of this new city design to create a new city siege strategy video that I will release once the NDA is lifted.

I apologize if you did not make this list and ask that you realize that my choices were not easy to come by. I based them off of who has lead events within the Tuatha, who goes out of their way to find and report bugs, and who will make the most impact on training players once this patch goes live.

As a heads up. Once the new city goes live. We will hold Double Tier raids in Tier 2 and 3 each week. Battle for Badlands is going Double Tier in season 2. This will allow us to do Tier 4 twice a week rather than once. Our primary focus will be on educating troops on the new city design as quickly as possible. I do hope you all will be ready and able to help with this. I will be adding a Section to the left nav for Tuatha only called the "War Room". This will be where I post videos and tutorials on how to properly execute techniques in battle. I look forward to the new dawn and am very excited by what I've seen already as a core tester. This new city is what we've been waiting for and I can't wait to step onto that battlefield.

We will be testing on Thursday April 22 at 5PM PST. Please meet 30 minutes early so we can get everyone setup. We will be using template characters so If you can please patch your client the morning of. We will also be required to use Mythic Vent. I will provide the information. Please be sure to have Ventrilo available.

The highest priority with this test is to find any game killing bugs. The fate of our server lays in our hands and we MUST make sure this city siege will not only retain the playerbase we have but help build it. Silence is our enemy. We must be constructive and concise when reporting issues. Now the Sidebar mission with this opperation is to get all our leads familiar with the new system as we are the primary PuG education source on our server. It will be up to the 12 people you see above to help train the rest of the alliance in how to be successful in the new city. Once we have the Tuatha trained we will have to start sending 12 man units into several instances and train the rest of the PuG force. We will be the primary teachers of our server. It will be critical to spread the word as fast as we can.

Thanks for the invite though I will admit I was pleasantly shocked I was on the list. I'll do my best to be available and let you know if there will wind up being any conflicts when you post when and how we are to join in this.

I might need help figuring out the test server deal since I never used it, but might play with it over this coming weekend if I have time. Miss having Good Friday off ever since the company killed that idea last year. =P

Thank you all for the support. From what i understand it will be temp toons, so Blockedsr will be there 40/80, got to love that.

I might have to roll up a dps if they're giving us 40/80s for it... looks like our group is pretty tank heavy as far as mains are concerned. I downloaded the 1.5gig patch yesterday while burning time, but I wasn't able to log onto the server. I'm starting to get ansy... I'm ready to see what this new city is bringing us.

Silly question but is there a cliff notes version on how to get to Warpstone, where I assume it's being held?

Its in your warhammer folder. Look for the testpatch.exe, I have it shortcut on my desktop for it

Bringing Vaunri with us in Gilfars place being macs dont seem to be able to Beta. Sorry Gil but thanks for giving your spot to Vaunri so we can get some blogging going for the new city as well as make some movies. If you haven't checked out Vaunri's blog I'd highly recommend it. We as a family will need to work hard about creating a positive buzz about this game to draw more people back to the game. Granted if it sucks it sucks but from what I have seen it anything but sucks.

Going to try to work out the timing of patching for this, but it seems Thursday will really be a test day for me! Have to run something at work and will be going in early, but if it works out okay, I get out early too. Really should only take 5 hours to run once we start. Even so, if I don't get home until the usual time, I have have it do patching while at work and have at least 3 hours when I get home to check things. If it blows up, I'm still home with an hour and a half. ::smirks::

If Exiled Night Lords are anything like they used to be they will roll in with 12 Dok's. They used to run wb's on IR with 8-12 DoK's everynight. I know this because I was one of them. All very good players, nice guys too, good luck killing them.

If you need me as an alternate I would be happy to help out. Anything for the family. I would even play an Elf if needed. Call me....anytime. Please.
