When my computer boots up I'm getting a message telling me that one of my display adapters is being disabled because it is not matching my VGA settings? What is being disabled is my Intel G33/31 on board chipset... But I'm running my monitor thru an Nvidia 8800GT so I'm not sure why I would need the onboard set enabled. This error message is new, today, the computer and 8800 vid card are not. Also, tonight I'm lagging like a beast in WAR whereas I have not had lag issues at all in recent months. Just to check out other stuff, I ran some flash stuff and popped over to Youtube to run some video and everything is running choppy...

Any ideas?

sounds like both might be trying to run at the same time ,,, i know if your motherboard has a built in video card your suposed to disable it before useing the other card ,,,, have you checked to see if its still disabled ?

What Ltol suggests is correct. You need to make sure that the onboard is fully disabled so the computer knows to use the add on card instead. Unfortunately I can't remember how to do this, but we definitely have a lot of computer gurus around here that can help. I haven't managed to stay up to date with computer hardware and operating system stuff like I used to.

Don't mess with Mama Bear, I might hug you too tight. =D

Chances are very good with an Intel onbaord video controller that you will need to go into the BIOS to disabled the video. What brand of computer or motherboard do you have?

Thank you for the feedback guys. Until I get this worked out it looks like I'm on forced hiatus from WAR. I uninstalled the onboard video chipset. Updated all my drivers across the board where I was out of date... no performance change. Thought it might be my video card, but playing COD4:MW single player and Bioshock etc yields great game play with no issues. When I log into WAR, however, I see each layer of graphics being rendered so everyone starts out as geometric blobs that have the color and detail added each second until its all loaded, then I run like choppy, stuttery hell. Full file check on WAR...no issues there. Heck, even things like Farmville and Cafe World that my kids play on Facebook won't run without going "slide show". Did some speed testing with the cable modem and it seems I'm good there.... email downloads fast as ever, but I do notice sites like this one render one piece at a time, much like any online games. Single player, however, I run smooth as silk. Device manager shows all is running properly with no errors and my temps are good. Bugger all, I have no clue.
