I have a question, and wonder if any of you might know the answer. I "get" the part that we have to buy the lower-level weapon to start getting the emblems for the better stuff. But what I'm wondering is this: If I buy a "cheap" 1H sword now, just to get to the next level, can I then buy a 2H sword when I get to stuff that's better than what I'm using now? Or if my eventual goal is a 2H sword, do I have to pay extra for 2-handers all the way up?

As long as you buy the conquerer weapon you will begin earning invader tokens instead of Conquerer tokens. So you can buy the invade level item. Dont think about it like buying weapons think of it as upgrading token rewards. You have to buy conquerer so you can start earning invader and so on. Once you have them all unlocked you can downconvert them into thousands of lower level ones to fill in the gaps if you like.
Its also bee said that the intiial price of the weapon will be deducted from the next one up. If this is so it may, in the long run, be better to buy your 2 hander if thats what you really want cause buy the time you get the unlocks it would cost less. But I don't have a bunch of info on that. Right now I am planning on buying a cheap 1 hander to unlock faster as I head for the 2 hander I want for RvR unless I hear other wise.
Well, I have a whopping FOUR! Go me! ::chuckles:: Think most of the the upper end conq weapons that I liked were 380 to 450 or so. 1% acquired then! Hmm, I suddenly feel like Ltol trying to hit RR75.
I think I'm doing alright, I'm close to 100 conq insignia now. Some fo the folks I've talked to are well over that, even heard someone say they'd seen an engi with the conq wrench already. I think you'll see most of the really devoted/psychotic players running their Warlord's weapons in a couple weeks, and Royal level within a month's time. The fact that win/loss doesn't play a big factor in the conq/inv/etc medals means that tons of the higher rank players are solo-queuing just to get in and out as fast as possible. This is something I think it's important for those of you wanting to maximize renown gain should take into consideration. Even a reasonable 40-50RR premade should do fairly well in most of the scenarios, simply because of the coordination advantage you'll have over solo-queuing destro.
Tottaly agreed with Korzak! Its a good time we start grouping up for scenarios!
I did a few scenarios with a crew yesterday. Had a great deal of fun, but I always have fun with this crew. We only lost in the Ironclad when destro managed to have a good setup with healers. We even did a good job with no healers on one run even if we did lose. We still made them have to work for the win.
