East Coast Raid Group Progressing

I wanted to take a couple of minutes to Congratulate, Thank and just say how proud I am of everyone that has been participating in the East Coast Raid Groups. So many things wouldn’t have been possible had it not been for how well everyone is working together and their knowledge of the fights.

Having been in Drowned Halls for barely over two times, we have now successfully cleared it twice. Last week we were able to clear the first 3 bosses on Monday night and the final boss on Tuesday night. This week we cleared all bosses on Monday night and found ourselves clearing all but the final boss in Gilded Prophecy last night. It will only get better from here on out.

Over the next few weeks there are things we must accomplish as a group / whole. First and foremost the majority of us need to work on gear. So please, if you are like me and are in need of better gear to perform at a higher level, please spend some time with your character and strive to achieve the best in slot for those items that are attainable.

I also feel over the next few weeks while Farming DH and GP will be a good time for us to bond as a Group, become better acquainted and really start helping each other out. By this I mean, during our off days such as Wednesday – Sunday, please strive to form small 5 man groups and try to achieve better gear and knowledge of your characters.

So, in closing, I feel our Short Term goal is to Farm DH and GP, Achieve better gear and becoming a more tight knit group. My Long Term goal is for us to get a second 10 man Raid Group going, get them equally geared and begin discussion about 20 man Raids & put the Defiant side of the Family back on the map! Notice this is the LOOOOOOOOOONG Term Goal, hehe.

Anyway, thank you guys again for your participation and the effort and leadership you guys have put forth. Without you, this group wouldn’t exist.

I'm interrested in a second 10 man team. My gear isn't the best from what I've seen. (Full Deathbringer set-hightide boots and runes). I'm not sure what gear I need to be working on. Also I've fixed my pc, at least I hope so. So that I can see the goop on the ground and the lazers. I need practice with the 5 mans as I haven't completed all the expert ones. I've been told my DPS is fine and told it isn't up to par so I'm not sure what is going on with that. Kittara (Anna)

There is one thing I feel needs to be mentioned here Mump and that is reliability and timeliness. I have always considered a raid grp like any other team sport Ive engaged in over the years. If you sign up, show up. I realize that RL takes precedence, however, to many times I have seen folks sign up and then not show up. This leaves 9 - 19 people waiting on the missing person(S) to show up, or leads to waiting to find someone to fill the slot. In my mind, this is no different that a bowling league, football team, or poker night. If you sign up and want to be a part of the group, then you have to show up. RL Happens!! But let people know as far ahead of time as you can - the impact of a single missing person can be detrimental to a raid group. Which leads to .. Being on TIME - Raid starts at 7PM EST - NOT Sometime after 7PM EST. Be ON time, ready to go, full Planar Charges, full drinks, extra POTS / TABS etc and ready to zone in AT 7PM. And Finally - I would really like to see a set break schedule during the raid. Quick AFKS, ok, but 15-20 minute AFKS on a raid that started 1hr 15 mins late :/ Split the Raid time in thirds and take 5 at the tops of the hr - or something. This is a Team Effort, a Team Sport - be respectfull of your teammates and the time they are investing with/in you.

I agree with you 100% Vandyl - I'll work on some things over the weekend and hopefully we get this thing running like a well oil machine. Thanks for the input.

Old school here. Everyone was told to be at raid and ready to go...like van said pots etc at least 10 min before kick off. You were not there you didnt go. Nothing is worse than waiting around 40 min hoping the peeps that said they would go would be there. At least if you cannot go. Mail to mump, kool, vandy and let them know you will not be there. That is common courtesy. As you know I will be more than happy to play kalend for you. And will try to follow my own advice and log in on mon nights to assist if needed 8)

Wanted to bump this back up. we are still looking to flesh out a more regular roster for the east coast Mon/Tues runs as well as possibly expand to a second 10 man and move towards some of the 20 man content. So if you can make it go ahead and sign up for Mon/Tues raids.

I can't start at 7pm EST. That is part of my usual hang out time in the evening with the hubby. Earliest I get on is 8pm and Wednesday tends to be a tad later due to a weekly medication shot I take in the evening. I know you start a bit earlier as well just to have a chance to be done for those that want to attend the raid and then be ready for the Family events on the same nights. The way my body wants to rest these days, I'm in bed anywhere from 9pm to 11pm est depending on what I had to do during the day. =D Sounds like the crew is having a great time though and enjoying the ten man content.
