During the last week, there's normally upwards of 30-38 people "online" on the defiant side...of those, upwards of 33+ can be on mobile, leaving perhaps a handful of people online to get anything accomplished (what IS with all the people via mobile lately? Or am I missing another something important, as always?)
Where'd everyone go? Everything ok on d-side? Something happen we don't know about? *nudge nudge* where'd you all goooooo?

I've noticed the difference too. The mobile app thing is really annoying though. I do hope that Trion finds away to disable that option so we don't see when ppl log in and off via moblile. I don't have a cell phone cuz I don't need one. I'm housebound. So did the mobile app take the place of ppl being online or...? Kittara
The mobile app is a game outside the game. It allows you to chat with guildies and friednds while your away from the game. It also has a bunch of mini games you can play on your cell. Its nows available for android and iphone/ipad. Dids I mention in game rewards. Like costumes, plaques and planarite? A lot of the deside has taken breaks those that remain are rolling guardi|n alts. Well still be running coop events dasisde and nothing has changed family wiae. Forgivde the crappy typing. I'm taking my 2 mile walk and typing on my phone. Lol.
It seems like quite a few of the people I'm used to seeing every day on D-side, have moved BACK to their original G-side toons... :( Did I miss something when I was gone over the last week? /sigh
The holidays, SW, and a general lack of interest have taken a lot of my usual crowd away. I find that I don't log in as much any more because of it. And no, I have no intention of ever going back to Guardian side, ever.
Just Remember everyone, "Play How you want, when you want, for as long as you want." No one is asking anyone to play on a specific side if they don't want to.
Wolf, nobody is forcing anyone to play any side, if you don't want to play on guardian side that's fine. We are still running DUO sided events. We are still running BOTH sides of the family. Please check the snide remarks at the door we don't need them here. Your constant separatist attitude is really starting to wear on me. A simple "I prefer to play defiant side" would have been fine.
I've had a lot of issues lately and may be in vent a lot, but not always on the game. Of course, now my mic is dead too so I can lurk and listen, but am gagged. If it isn't one thing, it's another at the moment. Sure, things are working out one by one, but the stress level is not helping my MS either. ::smirks:: Weeeeeeeeeeee!
Sorry If I haven't been around lately. I haven't felt like playing Rift for the past 3 months. I still have a subscription until October and I'll always be in the family, I guess I'll just be back whenever the urge grabs hold.
My Work and Health has limited my playtime .. I have logged on a few times and was surprised alot of people that have not logged in for quite some time. I recently had a cat scan and I did not get great news but it will take alot to keep this girl out of gaming.. forever...I have played some guild wars to get familiar with the game and have had fun doing so. Would like to get in guild there since I get ask to join others and have to explain I have a great guild just waiting to join them :) For those of you that I have missed online.. hugs I miss you.. and hope to see you soon..
as i mentioned on a previous thread, grad semester has restarted so i am not in game as much. i'm still in rift. i'm on Roxanol G side more than Malle. still in the family. looking forward to gw2's release so everyone gets my virtual biscottis. *grin
I'm on the Guardian side, but as far as the mobile thing goes - I actually like that people can contact others via their mobile devices. The only thing I wish they'd add in game, would be the ability to toggle the mobile-users on and off, simply because it would be easier to find people who are actually in the game at the time. As far as the downtime, I think we'll see it pick up a lot more after 1.7 goes live. A lot of people seem to be looking forward to that.
Thanks for the explanation of what the Mobile Thing was about. I see them pushing it on the log-in screen, but I was never sure what it was for exactly (and... I don't have a phone it would be applicable on anyway)... heh heh...
I wouldn't worry too much...having played other MMOs for 6 years the Xmas/New Year *tumbleweed* is par for the course. Plus we had big console single player releases, Battlefield 3 and Star Wars to contend with. Expectations are rising for GW2 even though it is not out yet and more and more I hear people talk about the 2 or 3 games they are playing atm, not just 1. This is not "everyone" but will account for some people. The main thing is that whatever game you play, you are still in Gaiscioch and can return at any time with no explanation or penance necessary - I think that is what we like about the guild!
Hi pil - so doing swtor - not that impressed honestly - not nearly the smooth start up as rift - no macros - no add ons -- and just quest and turn in will prolly be back to rift at next update - really left going meh on swtor
