Give him a break please!

I do not play Rift on either side anymore, but I just wanted to call on everyone to please realise the great opportunity we have in Gaiscioch, and how fkn dedicated and sincere and non-judgmental and tolerant and fair and balanced and even tempered and kind and forgiving and genuine and for real Ben is in his leadership of this guild in all its forms.

I know this from personal experience when he helped me with a nightmare I was having a while back. I could not have asked for a more objective and measured opinion, and I thank him for that.


What I am trying to say is simply "you don't know what you have got til it is gone". You may not openly appreciate how much you value friends, loved ones, family or gaming buddies until one day they are not there and you realise what an idiot you were to throw it all away over something as dumb as a raid, or that you did not get to go on a T1 dungeon run.


Quite frankly. I would love it if Ben could focus on leading the guild, taking us forward to the next challenge and chapter, build relationships outside the guild that will serve to make us stronger, and have some fun while doing so. We do not need the petty stuff that has been going on to continue, because it will only detract from the guild as a whole.

Ben is not my best friend (or paying me to write this!), just a guy I know who is really really good at what he does. Other guilds do not do what we do. Other guilds do not care like he does, other guilds do not foster a community spirit like Gaiscioch does.


It is coming up to the holidays, a time when it is good to be thankful for what you have and celebrate the positives. I am sure Ben would enjoy the break and to focus on his family and friends. Even leaders need a break or to just game and have fun with zero drama to attend to. The sheer amount of work he does on the website alone is just mnd blowing and kinda puts things into perspective.

I like our chilled out leadership. How we are not forced to do things we don't like, how we can play how we want, when we want, for as long as we want. How we don't get kicked or ridiculed for not showing up to a raid. How we don't get left behind for not being l33t dps.
How we can start any group we like and the leaders encourage that rather than maintain tight control over anything fun.

If you want to raid, form a group, show some initiative, and make stuff happen. It really is easy in a guild this size! We are given the perfect structure and framework in which to enjoy gaming...seriously!

If we logged on one day and this was not here , it would suck. Something to think about anyway.

I couldnt agree more.. Ive been in a lot of guilds and this one is totally in a class all its own. I want people to remember that feeling when they first joined and were amazed.

Mijjah speaks the truth, it is each and every ones responsibility to guard this family.

Yes, I stick with this family. When life took me away for a bit and, like I've said too many times before, when I got on Rift and knew Ben had brought Gaiscioch to the game. I jumped off the shard I was on, where I had even joined a guild, and moved to Faeblight. Now I only play with this family. =) I need not say more because I've said it too many times this this is my family and you better not mess with it. So, even if we are all very different, which really is a good thing, we need to be patient and loving with one another as we work out our different kinks so the family looks like a well oiled machine. If something breaks, we need to accept it, learn from it, and fix it no matter how much it might hurt. So GROUP HUG! Hehe. Love the kitten pic Booie!

In four years of playing MMO's I have never found any guild/Family as good, as friendly, as receptive, as sharing, as caring, as helpful, as supportive, as ACTIVE, and as concerned for each member, as is Gaiscioch...... Talk about a nurturing environment……. Always fun things to do and caring and concerned people to help you… The opportunities in the family are seemingly endless...... anything offered by the game appears to be offered by Gaiscioch...... In the short time I've had the pleasure of being a part of this family, I have made more friends, experienced more game content, received more high level crafted gear (just by donating easily gained crafting items), completed more quests, dungeons, raids, puzzles, Family group events, laughed, smiled, hugged, danced and overall just had a fun time with ya’ll than I ever have had or done anywhere else….. And on top of that, I’ve had the satisfaction of helping new family members become familiar with the Gaiscioch way, family events, crifting, dungeons, puzzles, the Gaiscioch web site, how to lead, post and claim events on the web site, basically how to enjoy and become what is the heart of Gaiscioch….. None of what I have enjoyed with my family members would have happened without what Ben has created here…..I greatly appreciate and sincerely thank you Ben for all you've done, all you're doing and all you're planning to do for the Gaiscioch family……. And thanks to everyone in the family, elders, officers, leaders, members for all of the time each of you have invested into making Gaiscioch the outstanding and enjoyable family guild that it is……. As Mijjah posted above, let’s give Ben a break….. especially during the holidays that are upon us now….. Can you imagine if you were in Ben’s position and everyone with an issue went straight to you? How many thousands of us are there in Gaiscioch? Hehe…. There are identified leaders/Sheppard’s on both sides of the family that are willing and able to address issues and there are many Officers, those who have invested time, worked for and earned the Seaimpín and Laoch and above ranks and who have accepted the “Mark of the Protector” Credo that are also willing to address issues and be of assistance in helping and protecting others… I encourage all of us, as Gaiscioch, to stand up, offer help and assistance to others and as Mijjah said, “show some initiative, and make stuff happen.” Let’s take some of the load off of Ben’s shoulders and show him through our examples how much we appreciate him and what he’s doing for all of us…. When I logged in to this website last Tuesday and saw that the Defiant side of the family was going to be removed from the Gaiscioch, I was sick….. and I know so many others were as well….. the thought of losing all this was horribad….I am so glad that Ben/Fogh has decided to keep the family intact on the Defiant side and build a better Gaiscioch. Every time we do something with, to or for other family members, we are doing it to ourselves as well…. We really are one family…. Mijjah and Booie nailed it in their comments above….. it really is each and every one's responsibility to guard, protect and help this family. I’m on the bus with you and the rest of the family Fogh, and I’m excited about what the future has in store for us all….. I wish you and your family a happy, enjoyable and relaxing holiday season….!

I totally agree with Aeos. I love crafting and sending stuff in knowing it will help guildies out. Am wishing all a happy holiday season.
