I haven't been playing long (just reached level 22 last night), but I have to say that you guys are great. I was looking for a home in Rift, and I saw Gaiscioch's recruitment thread in the Defiant guilds section. I looked up Olora in-game, who graciously stayed up late to talk to me and invite me into the guild.
Since then I've encountered friendly guildmates everywhere. I've already been through Realm of the Fae with a guild group, and I was invited to a speed run through Foul Cascade (with the level difference I couldn't help much in the latter one, but it was great to see and the xp was great). Both groups were really nice. (I'm interested in seeing Iron Tombs next, if any folks in the low-mid 20s would like to team up for that.)
Yesterday, I was working on closing a rift outside Meridian. I was doing okay until I backed into one of the stealthed NPCs who lurk out there. The outcome wasn't looking good, but I refused to flee the field of battle. Then a few arrows zipped over my shoulder and the battle was won. I turned, and saw my guildmate Charrm up on the hill, who'd just saved the day. How cool is that?
It's good to be part of the family.
