Defiant Dungeons, and more

Jazin has wanted to put some groups together to learn the dungeons, work as a team, without stress in a calm relaxing manner.

As he has been in France, but is now home, he was unable to start these groups while there.

If youre not quite sure, not comfortable in dungeons, or even if you are confortable. I know Adren and Jazun have spoke of wanting to get you there.

We want to put groups together for those who want to learn, start from lower dungeons, or T1's work your way up into casual raiding perhaps.

Practice your dps, your heals or maybe learn to tank we want to help everyone have an enjoyable time in dungeons, and possibly raids.

I do not think there has been an assigned "raid" leader of the defiant side per say. There are a few whom had lots of experience in other games. Lets use them to the fullest.

I hope we can all find times that are suitable for everyone to participate.

I beleive Liera is running for T2's. 3:30 is far too early for us and some others I think.

We want to start with the basics and move onward. All are welcome tho, no matter your skill or gear.

(Adren are you still interested in joining up with Jazin to run these?) We want to do these on opposite nights of the family events. Or prior to them.

My intent is to build a core group and bring people in to run them through content starting with the easiest content and moving forward learning each of the mechanics. In each dungeon the development team has been kind enough to offer encounters that prepare you for harder content later. I wish to capitalize on this. So If you're interested in practicing and learning in a relaxing and nurturing environment please let us know and I'll do what ever I can to make sure you get into these runs. This sounds like a wonderful idea. Believe it or not but Bentmer start up in a similar way. We don't really have assigned raid leaders. Usually they end up falling into that position. Bentmer never intended to be the first to drop greenscale but his willingness to stand up and get people together resulted in it. Never know what will happen if you choose to stand up and organize something.

I also am interested in learning the dugeons. I do not put groups together because I am unfamiliar with the fights and stuff. Would love to learn because eventaully we will need more 10 men to make up the 20 men team. This is really an exciting time. Thanks everyone for putting these together. Echota

I don't have Ladasach to 50 yet, but working on it. I like the dungeons and have enjoyed low level dungeon runs on both sides. Working on Ladasach so she can be both dps and healing, maybe I can figure out how to make a support role for her too.

In answer to your question Abi, I have scheduled for saturdays a random t1 and t2 for anyone who wishes to come along. Currently we have 2 groups started (But the more the merrier.) And as far as raids go I have currently put together a 10 man group with a few alternates in case of scheduling issues. However, I do not at anytime assume the mantle of "Raid leader" for the guild and concidering the fact that we have so many people who would make AWEASOME leaders in raids and dungeons I could not fill that post. It is my belief that the more runs we have going the more people can get into them and the more widom and experience we can draw from. This is what seperates this great guild from a good one, the people in it and its great leaders. I would encourage anyone who has an interest in learning dungeons and potentialy raids to let us know. Abi I know you and Jazin have a heart of gold and both you and Jazin are an awesome font of knowledge to draw from. That being said I know without a doubt that you and Jazin will have much success in the runs you put together. And I suggest that anyone with an interest take advantage of all the opportunities this guild offers. It truly is a wonderful place to be right now.

Due to my POS work schedule, I am only regularly available on the weekends. I have almost 200 Hit on Sethra for dps warrior. Alternatively, I have almost 100 Toughness to tank, but I have never tanked even a bunny rabbit, so there.

It's true, after dinging 50 and running out of ways to get myself killed, I decided to find creative ways to kill other people. Soon I tired of only killing 4 other people at a time and so I decided to try and kill 19 others at a time. (There were no 10 mans back then) By some stroke of luck, we managed to actually kill the bosses instead of them killing us. Server first Greenscale, Guardian first Uruluuk, and Guardian 2nd Alsbeth resulted despite the fact that we raid far less than the actual 'raiding' guilds do. (We averaged around 8 hours a week compared to 16+ hours of the other guilds) There is no such thing as THE raid leader in this family. Instead we have many people who perform this role for multiple raids. I'm extremely proud of what we've accomplished considering that way back in April when we started this, I could count on one hand the number of people who actively wished to raid in our family. The growth we've experienced in this part of our family is phenomenal. Alot of credit has to go to the leadership for supporting and nurturing this growth without losing sight of our values. We are given tremendous resources to plan and execute our raids from Ben with this website. We can draw from a large pool of skilled players in this family and because we have a motto of inclusiveness, we can easily draw others from other guilds in this shard. And as long as you try your utmost to follow the mottos of this family and be a positive role model for all to see, you will receive nothing but the utmost support from Ben, Don, and the other Draios. I know there has been more than one headache that arose from raiding, but I have always received 100% support from Ben and Don. I'm proud of what this family has accomplished as a casual raiding guild. And I'm more proud of the way we did it. I know you guys on the Defiant side will meet similar success in the future. With the infrastructure that we have and the people we have, success is almost guaranteed. ;0 And if you ever need advice on how to kill 5, 10, or 20 people in spectacular fashion, I'm always available to help. I'd love to join in to learn the dungeons. I'm currently level 30, but I am leveling fairly well. I hate going into dungeons and not having a clue of what to do.

Arrya wants to come hang out with you guys in a level! (on the 50 reg runs for now, though really want to get her geared up) And Bellaa wants to go as well as needed or as you have room. With the lovely "memory" disability thingie I have going on, I have to run something over and over again until I remember it properly a lot of times, so it'll be good for me no matter which I go on. (Thanks for the inq tip for my dps, I almost feel mage like now rawr!) Psst - stress free is my happy place! <3 * BTW - The warfronts, I'm going to do them earlier and on weekends, I think they will not only pop faster, but on weekends we get the lovely x-favor dungeon. I think that will work better all around. Tomorrow I'm going to see who's around at 2pm server .. it'll be kind of a test run of good times for queue pops and available times for pvper types.

i would be very interested in this on my D cleric Malle (lvl 50, healz prime spec.) i am new to the guild. previously i had been an officer in a small guild in another shard. i was focusing on guild developing, ran lower lvl dungeons, and got to t1s some t2s. when that guild disintegrated i've been doing solo WFs, until i found you guys :) so i'm rusty. however, i love to heal groups in a supportive environment. i don't care much if they're reg dungeons, t1s, t2s. as long as the environment is mellow. i'm here for friendships thru gaming. i work fulltime and am in grad school. but i'm going to be on Malle more if i can be a part of this. sounds perfect for me. :) cheers, Rainidawn/Malle

I actually haven't spent alot of times in the dungeons and haven't been to some of them. My defiant Fawny is level 26, ranged dps (ranger). I'm interested in some stress-free learn-the-ropes dungeon runs.

I would like to keep this to those people who are not already in a dungeon group, 10 man etc. So that all have the same opportunity to enter dungeons and a raid zone someday. If we have 3 raid groups forming, thats 30 people who can get dungeon and possible raid experiences. which is awsome!! We were also talking today about running some lower level dungeons to help those up and coming to 50!! So many possiblities!

:: raises hand and volunteers to help run people through lower lvl dungeons :: I've done that sort of thing since EQ1 days.. though no dungeons in that one, I used to spend a lot of time running hill giants and spector groups for the low lvls on my Drool <3 Jeese it was so much fun. Though we didn't call them raids or leads or anything .. just did um .. cha-ching plats too in that game! (I so miss quad kiting /tears ) In wow though, my help did come with a warning that said: Has been known to kill low lvl friends alts in dungeons - so enter groupage at your own risk! Seriously too LOL .. BUT I had no heals when those happened.. (Was on my hunter) but was still funny enough that they teased me quite often .. um.. Bell-aaaah did you forget something? Oh! omg .. I'm so sorry, I forgot you were only lvl 10! .. oh and btw .. um .. I can't rez But I haz mad healz now.... <3 Yep Abs! I'm so there to help with those!

I'm also interrested in doing this. Thank you for the opportunity. I was in another guild before joining Gaiscioch and they ran my level 32 char through all the dungeons to my level. They were all level 50's so I didn't learn anything. I've also solo'd most of my entire Rift journey so learning to do things in small groups is new to me. I'm also tweaking and learning two new specs, my bard and now full 51 MM. My schedual through October is going to be strange due to the fact that I'm sick and we are moving. Thank you Abi and Jazin. I have 2 characters I'd like to get into this with. Astraiel my 47 cleric and Malkuth my fresh 50 warrior wannabe tank. Astra is pure dps on 2 roles and just picked up a tank role today. Mal has never been anything but a solo semi-tank (palachampreaver/ palareaverwarlord). He's never done a dungeon higher than regular Fae/DSM/IT and hasn't been in one period since level 32. But I want to learn and I want to run with people in the family. I refuse to pug, thanks to WoW.

I wanted to address a couple things to mitigate any misunderstandings. First, there was a question in regards to running in multiple groups. My thoughts on this are as such... I want to give priority to those that otherwise would not be in a dungeon run. In other words there are some who due to limited availability or other restrictions are only able to commit to my scheduled run. Because of this, I want to honor that commitment and make sure they get in first. That being said if I'm able to form a second and third group to accommodate everyone that wants to go I will of course. Second, I want to make everyone aware the pace of these runs will not always be breakneck and often there will be breaks, detail explanations, or visual instruction. I strongly encourage everyone to come but if you like plowing through a dungeon quickly it's likely you will become frustrated. Third, It's extremely important to me that on these runs people are able to play in the role the like the best as a priority and as often as possible. It is less conducive to creating a well working team in learning content when you continuously rotate roles or switch characters. With this I ask everyone to pick a character and role you wish to focus on. This, however, does not mean you wont use other roles in these runs or that we wont have alt runs, but in my experience it is best to commit to perfecting one role in your team. This does 2 important things. It allows for fair distribution of upgrades mitigating any possible hurt feelings and it allows you to excel in that focused position above those that dabble in everything when playing the same role. Fourth, have fun! If you're not having fun it affects everyone around you and we don't want that. So let me know if you're having trouble in these runs and I'll do everything i can. Liera, youre group was scheduled on the calendar for 330pm server. Our group was not scheduled but we asked a few people to test out a group at 8pm server. how is that a conflict? Thats nearly 5 hours difference in times. I hope this doesnt turn into a power struggle, as me and Jaz are only trying to help those who are not comfortable in dungeons, we are in no means trying to put together a 10 man at this time. We had a few capable T2 people interested in helping us teach people the dungeons and game mechanics. thats it. We are taking people through, slowly, explaining each mechanic , every aspect of the dungeon so people will learn. the Fog thing "what happens if I do this, or someone does that" concept. It is definately not a see how many dungeons we can get through to get gear thing. If people get upgrades yahoo, if not at least we will be learning and having fun as we go.

Whoah, lets back up here. I had kalend on line. Leira, it was not jazen who was running a dungeon same time as you were trying to put together a group. Both you and Adren were in gu lookin for peeps to go. I said I was waiting for Jazen as he was going to be leading one. Lets not start pointing fingers here, we have enuf peeps that want to go/learn and they have a nice choice now. Jazen, Adren and now you. However, some times things get conflited if yall have same times and they may not be enuf bodies to go around. We are a family. Families do have differences but these can and should be smooth out easily.

Maybe I should have asked if this is only meant for 50s? I've decided my 47 cleric is my main, despite having the 50 warrior, and would like to get dungeon experience with her. :)

Hey there Abi--I'd be up to tank any T1 or T2 on Icemaiden (we did xKB yesterday together, if you remember). I'm on the East Coast btw, in terms of time zones--I raid Thursday and Saturday nights, but any other night is fine. Great idea here, and I hope we extend it to the 10-mans and beyond! (btw people, drama has no place here...so work it out in an adult fashion and simply get on with the program!) Icemaiden/Arrowfey

I would love to do this. I have a lvl 48.8 rogue that's never been in a dungeon. He's a Guardian. I also have a warrior, cleric, and mage, also Guardian, all lvl 30. Please count me in on Blister. DPS (ranged and melee)| Any| 5pm+ I am working on my tanking gear and understand the need to know the dungeons in order to someday help tank. I dont bard but would love the chance to learn and get rogue tanking gear for 5s/10s.
