The Race To 10 Pages - 28,500p of 30,860p Needed

Hey Everyone,
I want to share with you a bit of what is planned for the guild vault. First off, sorry guys your not going to have access right away. We will be using the Guild vault pages to store the items that are in the Family Vault that you can request through this site and donate by sending the item to the active vault manager. See the homepage under marketplace for this weeks manager. It will be Foghladha, Don, Prissy, or Vengful depending on which week of the month it is.

This will allow all of our elders to help send out orders that your request through the site thus speeding up turn around times and not requiring me to spend hours on end relogging and changing characters.

We have opened a second Gaiscioch called Gaiscioch na Anu to give us additional vault space at reduced prices. Please keep an eye on this chart to see what we've unlocked and what is used for what.

I want to encourage you all to deposit as much as you can afford. I will be respecing the guild perks to boost coin output and tithe to try to help with as much as possible but we are on a race to 30,860p. However the Tithe brings in 10 - 13p per day. That's 2,374 days, or 6.5 years to earn 30,860p. If we all chip in a plat or more per week we'd have a couple hundred every week. By getting there we will all benefit.

We will NOT be awarding Contribution for monetary donations to prevent people from "Buying a Rank" in the family. If you want to help our family become stronger without person immediate gain then I ask that you contribute what you can. We will get to 30,860p sooner or later but with your contributions towards the pot we can get there a lot sooner. As soon as we get all pages I'll be holding contests more regularly to share the wealth among our people.

NOTE: Guild Vaults will be in game soon. Once they launch we will get started on getting those pages.

I'm selling screenshots of Booie for just 2p, all goes to the guild bank ;) No, okay Sanator and Booie will each transfer 35 plat to you when the guild bank makes it into the game and if I can start making money of Sanator, I'll give what I can.

I've got 100p ready to go so far from various donars and sources. Bank page 1 and 2 will likely be day 1. Page 3... well thats a whole other beast.

Fog, you said on vent normal members would not be able to view the contents of the vault in-game. Is that an option at all (view, but not take)? I know it's also on the website, but is a lot less convenient to have to tab out to see what's available. Window shopping is fun (and immersive)!

Don't know for sure. What you see in there and what is available may be 2 different things however. So if you get all excited because theres a purple augment in the vault and you go to order it it may not be there because someone already ordered it and it hasn't been shipped. The website is going to be the more reliable source.

What about if I wanted to dump a massive amount of crafting materials like logs, flowers, and skins. Will normal members be able to make deposits?

no. everything will need to go through Foghladha as a donation.

with 1,800 characters i really dont want to spend all my time cleaning out the vault. Those vaults would be permafull 24/7 and you'd never see me lead another event again. I'd be to busy trying to figure out where to make it all fit.

I look forward to the day we get all five. If every character donated just one plat we would at least have the first three, assuming that Foghladha has already received some more generous donations. :P But those last two, just wow.

Way i see it, if we can conquer greenscale, orphiel, asha, and sylvar, and amass almost 1,900 characters in 4 months. We can earn 15k together.

Any tips out there for earning fast Platinum? I'll donate what I can, but I'm consistently barely holding even at around 10 Plat thanks to the expense of the daily crafting quests. Any good methods we can use to raise funds faster?

Dargron, I'm usually in the same boat. As my wife and I usually want to buy as many of the mounts/pets as we can, on top of other purchases for crafting, skills, etc, our plat funds are usually limited. It also doesn't help that I'm a fairly casual player and don't spend lots of time hunting for materials or "playing" the AH.

When a person claims an item it gets removed from the site. What you see is what is available.

best money making imo is dungeons/dailies

Foreign territory artifacts. Sell the for 50g each. Stonefield and freemarch are hot atm. Well until I post this ;P. I bring in about 60p a week with my trade route. Selling crafting supplies is also a great way. Stack of 50 bars for 50g tin. 1p copper.

MasterElement's pro-tips for money 1: Blue artifacts, they sell for about 5p+ on average 2: Crafting material that is required for crafting dailies; Drakefoot, twilight blooms, spellspun, witchweave, carmintium, tempest flower, also the dye material from butchering sell for a bit too. 3: Other crafting material; Minor catalysts, eternal planar dust 4: Runecrafting materials; THe blue or purple ones from breaking items 5: Rift hunt, burn off all your planarite with the master augment box's and sell those, you get a chance for a purple but 99% of the time you get blues, they still sell. Hopefully these get anyone who is interested started

I've been vendoring soulhide. As a rogue with the "cuisinart" spec I solo the CC dinosaur 8-pack. Average 10 soulhide per pack, plus ironhide and loot. 1 pack/2 minutes. 50 soulhide ~= 1 plat. Various other drops getting 50 soulhide averages about 1.5 plat. So 1.25 plat/minute. 75 plat/hour. Of course, I get bored and do a few runs then go off to read a book or chat or such, so I rarely hit 75 plat/hour. Warning on Blue Sparkling Crystals. They sell more on the vendor than they do on the Auction atm. It costs over 1p to list as stack of 50 of them for 48 hours. You get 2.5p to sell to vendor.

Fog you said that we will not be earning contribution as you do not want people to buy ranks within the guild. Would you then consider giving people who donate guild credits instead?

Hey Fog, can you put in a suggestion that they add (at some point in time) the ability to dump the guild vault to XML? It would be really awesome if the current parser that imports and updates the member roster could also import/update the guild vault (or even just select pages of it).

How much more Plat do we still need Fog?

A lot, managed to snag some more space by opening up a second Gaiscioch and used 330p to buy 2 more bank slots for crafting materials. Thanks to a few members those 2 vaults are now almost entirely full with materials lol. Nice work guys. We're about 400p away from getting Page 3 in Gaiscioch, 1500p from getting Page 3 in Gaiscioch na Anu. In 400p you guys will have a place to trade artifacts. :)

This is my goal and I think if everyone took this approach we would be pretyt well off. I hit 40 yesterday and I noticed that my money tally is starting to go up. So I am going to make it a practice to send 1p a day to the guild fund for the extra tabs. 1p a day doesn't sound like a lot but if we all did it that would add up pretty quickly!

Wondering how close we are to the 9k plat for vault 4. Also with the rotating bank managers to whom should cash be sent? (someone asked this in chat and wasn't sure if that should go with the item rotation or only to you Fog) thanks cj

I would deposit cash directly into the guild bank and you can also see how much are in there there atm.

You can deposit it straight into the bank or send it to Foghladha. I'd prefer just deposit it directly. We've got Anu Vault Page 3 up next which will cost us 1,500p then we go on to the hard ones 4,000p & 9,000p each. If we rely on Tithe alone it will take us about 4 years to unlock the last 2 pages.

I just send crafting materials to you guys and I have yet to sell any of that stuff - so what I am saying - is if you have an abundance of some material - I hope you sell it on the AH and then put the money into the vault. I have both of my 50s now - Morigana and Mamba - and will propably do a lot of exploring/artifact hunting and collecting materials. So you will probably be getting a lot more from me on the materials front.
