Lord Greenscale goes down!!!! Server first for the good guys :)

I want to personally congratulate everybody who has participated in our raid group. It's not cliche to say that we could not have done it without any of you. I would list every one of the 60+ people who have helped us accomplish this goal but... Fogh did it for me. We shed blood, sweat, and tears but we finally did it. Congratulations everybody, next stop Alsbeth. :)

I just wish that all of the great folks who got us through to him could have been there with us tonight. it was a pretty amazing moment - ventrilo was the quietest I'd ever heard it - as our final attempt went down and as Greenscale's health went from 10 to 9 to 8... it seemed near perfect... maybe that's just because of the kill, but it seemed perfect in every way. amazing job everyone, and amazing job Bentmer for leading us. Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of all the fun in GSB :)

After 5-6 weeks of getting our butts kicked, I echo Bentmer's sentiments...without all the players coming back week after week we couldn't have done it. Even with all the 'Bubble' bugs and some hard fights with Johlen, everyone stuck with it. I was amazed how well everyone did last night. The fight went very smooth and from a healer's perspective, it was much easier. My hats off to all of you and I look forward to killing Lord Greenscale some more!

did you get your epic weapon from Greenscale Cordite?

Uhh video...I think Cinder was supposed to do it and forgot...yeah I'm blaming her until she logs on and reads this. After that I'll find someone else to throw under the bus lol. No seriously, I didn't get the video because I forgot to turn Fraps back on for the last fight. Too bad because it was an almost textbook perfect kill. Cossack actually got the killing blow in and got shard first credit. Obviously he hacks because I was sure my last 150 damage was what really killed Lord Greenscale. Strangely my petition to rename Lord Greenscale to Lord Gaiscioch was denied. I thought when you kill something, you take over their title? Thank you everybody for the congratulations, this was a kill for us all because it could not have happened without the support of everyone inside our family. Lord Greenscale died on the 6 week anniversary of our very first foray into Greenscale's Blight. In between, we have had tremendous highs and quite a few lows. We have lost some very good people and we have gained many good people. Sometimes it was hard to maintain the chemistry and other times it was hard just to find 20 people. But we accomplished a big goal for us and before anyone else did on this shard. (Eat this Defiant!) The progression goes on however, the hardest kill is always the 2nd one so we will see how well we can replicate our success. And we have a ways to go in River of Souls to catch up. But I am proud of all of you and it is a great honor to be able to lead all of you. For those who are curious about where we go on from here. We will attempt to replicate this Greenscale kill and proceed in our progression through River of Souls in preparation for Hammerknell. Also, my intention is to slowly increase the number of new people who come to GSB raids so they may learn the tactics and garner valuable experience. This is especially so with many people going on summer vacations. There are a great many of you who have already seen large chunks of GSB, I would like that we bring even more in the coming weeks. Please refer to the raid roster post and make sure your name is on it and that you are available on raid times. Lastly, I'd like to thank Ben and Don for their support. Who knew Don, that you passing on those DPS boots 6 weeks ago would come to this? :) Also I'd like to give a shout out to Ironbars (Happy Birthday buddy!), Quickben, Blight, Calah, Seigmund, and everyone else that has taken a temporary leave of absence from us. You might be gone for now but you're never forgotten. P.S. Thank you Ben for posting all the names. :)

I don't know about the other folks during the last stages of that fight but... I was holding my breath the last 5% health or so LOL Great Job All!!

Nah Elsimer, The staff I recieved was from the epic storyline quest. On PTS all the epic staves look just like it. To complete the questline you have to get Lord Greenscales heart which is a drop from killing him. I was lucky on my roll as Inixia was on that part of the quest also. Parak (our MT) won the epic weapon drop from Lord greenscale.

It was a great fight and a magical moment! Nice work by all, especially avoiding the bracken as we moved. Only 2 players got hit! I have been part of many server and serverwide firsts in mmo gaming, but this one seemed special. I think we have a great group who all have sensible rl / game balance. Many thanks to Bentmer for keeping this train going down the tracks towards victory. He has tremendous patience and able leadership, something that allowed this to happen, given all the turnover, particularly week to week. We have much to do to get ready for hammerknell. Alsbeth will need to die, along with greenscale each week, before we are ready to climb the tiers needed to get inside the inner chamber or hardmode or whatever scaled content exists.
