From what I understand, the vista system was built because GW2 didn't have the same transport system as WoW (Flight Paths) to be able to show off the world. So, instead they made vistas to give the players an incentive to view the world (I may be wrong on the origin story). Anyway, Which vista's are your favorite? I've always found the "Plaza of Lyssa" vista in Divinitys Reach to be absolutely incredible.
I cannot pic a favorite, I love them all, they all show a beautiful and unique perspective of the area; yes now we have mounts, but is not the same. Whenever I have the time when doing the map clear I try to watch them, otherwise I press F, hit escape and run away from the mobs (Mostly HoT and PoF areas :p)
I really can't pick a favorite - there are so many WOW! moments. I'm an explorer and clear all the maps. Some vistas I watch just the once but many I watch again and again. :)
Just wanted to add that I'm an alt-a-holic so map clear on them all. Yeh, vista overload!!
I don't have a favorite I can point to. I've seen them all at least and most more than once. The best part is how they made them to show off the area about you. Even those dismal places like Orr have some cool shots in the vistas there. Also the fact that you see the area pretty much real time to what is going on around you just adds to it.
I love that vistas aren't just a simple cinematic, they show the view real-time - i remember being on one of Mika's rags to riches events and triggered a vista in time to see the whole squad taking off gryphon-style, it was so awesome :D
