New Forum Post Layout

Hey Everyone,

First all reply to this post to see your new nameplate that will accompany every post you make and will update as you gain more ranks within the community. A few things of note.

1. I had to remove signatures as we are trying to make the SSL work across the site and pretty much everyone's signature points at an image on a http:// instead of a https:// which breaks the certificate for the site security. I've wanted to make more of a HTML version of these anyways so I'm incorporating them into the headerplate. 
2. Header Colors = Warlord Ranks. Learn about them at: https://www.gaiscioch.com/about/warlord_ranks.html 
3. Border Colors = Green = Me, Gold = Elder, Neon Green = New Member. Be sure to say hi to those bright green folk and make them feel welcome! Ignore that old green guy. 
4. Mottos: At the bottom of each of your posts you can have a 150 character text block (NO HTML) that will appear over your signature background.
5. Achievements: Your awards and achievements will show up on your signature block automatically. Long term plan is to eventually allow you to choose what you'd like to show, Awards, Nothing, Top 10 objectives, Recent Achievements, characters, etc.
6. Signature Backgrounds: Coming soon.

Additionally, I'm autoreplacing the http:// in the body of the posts with https:// which might do bad things but it's neccessary if we want to keep the SSL. If there are any image links to sites that do not have https yet, they will be broken. There is no fix for this. We are doing everything we can to ensure your security.

Actually, I do have a question. Should we avoid using target="blank" in any html links? Security and all.

I highly encourage people to use the target="_blank" to open a new window on links. It doesn't affect the ssl at all.

Very nice.    I just don't know how you do all you do.  I think perchance you have a time clock Hermione had in Harry Potter. It's the only way you are able to do all the great things you do and still have time to do other great things. lol

It's probably just my iPad that is being silly, but people that has more than 6 medals gets all the medals shifted down below the signature banner.

Still working on the mobile styling. The medals will be below the quote. Both will be centered and the image will grow to encompass both when viewing on a mobile device. Just haven't gotten the CSS right yet.

Hey Fog:

When I try to edit a post it always takes me back to the top of the thread. Is there a way to have it go back to the original post?     Was in the RL photo thread and it is annoying having to scroll all the way back down to my post.   I see you have a "return to top" is there a way to put in a "go to bottom"  or  "go to last post" ?

Click "Post A Reply" to go to the bottom.

You can just upload them to discord in the IRL-photowall at the very end of our text channels list, just click on the [arrow up] thingie right next to the box text to type and you can upload the pictures there without the need of an image hosting website. :3

Yes, I clicked on General Channel for a reason, since I don't know if ALL public people have access to that picture and I'm not sure if people wanted to share the IRL pictures in a public enviroment :3

That old forum post isnt the vest way either. Im working on a new way but have some hurdles to figure out first.
