Aoibheann Posted a Battle Recap: Jumping Puzzles galore
Big thanks to Jay for the assistance in leading the second party, as well as jumping and porting people around as needed. We managed to do all the JP's that we can't be ported straight into.
Good times and a great job by one and all. If you have anymore jumping puzzles that you need still need to finish up your achievements, just send me a whisper in game and I can probably help you get them all completed.
Haven't decided yet what we are going to be doing for next week, so keep an eye out for changes...

Jjrdragon Posted a Battle Recap: Veteran, Spider filled, hateful (but fun!), Veteran Fungal Grotto
Having been here before and been sent home packing with broken armor by Gaymne Bandu. We returned to scene of the crime with the aid of Amalmer (I hope I spelled that right) and a random late night DPS we found in zone. With some insight from our new guild friend, some patience, sheer stubbornness, soul shards, and a few hours, we emerged scathed but Undaunted (I won't sing that terrible Undaunted song). There was much to learn and some really fun, and not so fun, fight mechanics. Gaymne met her end, for at least few minutes, along with all the other foul denizens of the Grotto of Fungus...

LeslieoftheStars Posted a Battle Recap: Star's Explorables
Great dungeon running all and a great turn out! We had enough to make two dungeon teams and completed SE 1 and AC 3 with me talking to all of you in GameVox:). A special thanks to R.C. for leading the other team in the runs. You had no mic and communicated through chat comms extremely well. Good job everyone!

Aoibheann Posted a Battle Recap: Morning run
Thank you all for coming out to join me for some fun on the borderlands this morning. I am still a bit foggy from the antihistamines that I am taking, but I did my best this morning for a short run. I will be back next week for more WvW, and I will do either one or two mornings events depending on how the allergy situation is by then.
The good news is that for the 90 minutes that we were out in WvW, we took 5 keeps, 4 towers, 7 supply camps and successfully defended twice. I would say that was a very fine job!
For those of you going on the Beta testing today, enjoy! and come tell us all the wonderful new things that are coming our way...

Jjrdragon Posted a Battle Recap: Blessed Crucible (of fire)
Undaunted daily in the Blessed Crucible. Having only done this one once as a regular dungeon as youngsters we had a fun time remembering all the various fights and stages to each fight. Phrases like "I don't remember werewolves"."Did that fire beetle really just hit me for 25k?" and "Wow that troll really likes you Ash." Echoed through Game Vox as we generally laughed at each other and the game. We did decide that since it was a normal Undaunted challenge that we would scale it up to VR14 for a bit of spice With Ash and I at VR6 and VR7...

Doreth Posted a Battle Recap: HOWLLLL
thank you to all of those who came out last night... even though we died quite a few times I think it was a very fun and successful night.. I'd like those of you who came out in your WW and those who took the time to change your armor color, as El would say we were all very pretty out there :)

Jjrdragon Posted a Battle Recap: First timers in Veteran Spindleclutch
Three guild members new to Veteran Spindleclutch were ably guided through some challenging content with minimal casualties by Jairone. Asharei was our healer, Jairone and Borah were our talented Dps whilst I was in charge of making things angry and acting as meat shield to these brave adventurers. As is usually the case one boss was a step up in challenge above all the others but we slew him and his many waves of friends on the third attempt. Praxis ghost is definitely a learning experience and really knows how to throw a party...

LeslieoftheStars Posted a Battle Recap: Star's Havoc despite the Bugs!
A great night tonight! All of you were awesome despite the bugs; our own guards turning red & attacking us, our own guards taking out our cannons & having to rebuild them, and the cross swords on our keeps, towers, & camps that forced us to run and check them all just in case it was the enemy. A lot of good fighting at our reinforced tower, we had to defend it three different times & we did just that.
I also want to thank the small group that stayed on SoR to continue on with the upgrades and take care of any enemies that appeared...

Aoibheann Posted a Battle Recap: Oops, I mislabled this event
However, the Achievement Hunters went very well this week and we had a great time out in Malchor's Leap. We ported up to Antre of Adjournment and jumped the Scavenger's Chasm Jump Puzzles for the fellowship, the achievements and of course, the loot. I want to thank you all for coming out to join me and creating better memories of these Puzzle - it wasn't nearly as hard this time around with all the Mesmers along to help port us up when we fell in the water.
Special thanks to Lakshmi and to Nighthawk for the invaluable assistance and to you all for the laughter...

My 3rd visit too Hel Ra trail ended with us getting completion. Even though I was both tired and funble fingered, which involved me dying more than a few times, the group was supportive and both Lavum and Verve gave good pre-battle synopsis. So a big thank you too everyone on the run you all made it fun and i can't wait till the next run :)

Aoibheann Posted a Battle Recap: A Late Start - Great Fights
I was having some very frustrating internet connection issues this morning, but after a few frantic text messages on my part, the troops rallied together and havoc ensued until I arrived. After several resets of the modem, the computer and finally a hard reset by the cable company... almost forty-five minutes late. Great job & big thanks to you all for your patience and perseverance.
We easily rolled over the Isle of Janthir borderland, but Anvil Rock seems to be taking their beating very personally this week...

Marcovius Posted a Battle Recap: Late Night WvW - the Few, the Proud, the Mighty!
I don't know how many IoJ or AR it would actually take to wipe our group, but I do know how many they were going to use...
It doesn't matter how badly we were outmanned - our skill was much greater than theirs, and it clearly showed on the field. We successfully routed them at Hills and at the southern towers, open field and in the camps - destroying several Omega Golems and more than a few Guild Catapults in the process. It was an expensive night for them, especially considering how much they DIDN'T take!
WvW takes on a much different feel when wearing that Commander Tag...

ArcNerd Posted a Battle Recap: Great Night in the Silverwastes
I was finally able to take some time and join in a Saturday in the Silverwastes and what a Saturday it was! We quickly captured and held all the forts (thank you for your leadership and communication, Lakshmi) against whatever the Mordrem threw at us, including not one but two legendary Mordrem champions! The Executioner and Tormentor were both defeated in short order, giving more than a few people (myself included) the Be All and End All achievement.
Breach came more quickly than expected and we worked together to defeat all four events...

Zoomzoom Posted a Battle Recap: L L L
L L L stands for Legendary Leader Lakshmie.
She was great !
Silverwastes have many nuances and pitfalls that can give the most ardent adventurer a headache. She guided us through those perils with poise and positive attitude.
Orders were clearly communicated with explanations and she often provided us with insight on what was about to happen and what we needed to avoid.
She knows her way with a shovel too.

Jairone Posted a Battle Recap: TY to those who came along...
I much appreciate the calm, the patience, and the effort by the members who came with me to Darkshade Caverns and dealt with one of the toughest VR dungeons as a group even though we were not optimal.
Berkanna, Elizabeth, and Ternie: Thank you! I hope you enjoy seeing the guide in the magazine!
