'B Team' seeks Archmages and Warrior Priests!

It is easy to gather that I <3 <3 <3 Playing in SCs, and so I propose the creation of a 'B Team' specializing in the domination of Scenarios. (Team A of course being us playing on our usual Main Characters and Rocking it.)

The idea is to have 6 family members create an alt so that our 'B Team' has 3 Archmages and 3 Warrior Priests, and only play them when we are grouped together for SCs/RvR. This would keep us all in the same Tier.

Because Archmages and Warrior Priests are not known to be DPS powerhouses, it would be needed to assist one another to focus fire one target at a time. I will be looking into that Assist Train Mod "Calling" to see if that will work for this purpose.

The WPs would form a mini tank wall or front line if you will, while the AMs deal their damage from a safer postion. Also, Each person would be responisble for keeping a groupmate alive---by the formation of healing duo's within the group. 1 Archmage keeps 1 Warrior Priest healed and vice versa. That way you only would have to focus on healing one other person, and not worry about healing yourself! Of course once Rank 20---(Oh noes look out)---All that would really be needed is to rotate our Group Heals while focus firing enemy targets. :)

Whether we all start out in Tier 1 together or meet up at like Rank 11 in Tier 2, I leave up to suggestion. With the limited skills at Rank 1, the only real thing we could practice in T1 is our Focus Fire Assisting.

...And if more than Six family members want to try this idea, we can have mulitple B Teams. But as to start, THREE Warrior Priests are needed and TWO Archmages are needed. I myself will play an one of the three Archmages as I do not 'do' Frontlines. :)

If anyone is interested in trying out this idea, Please let me know. Perhaps Monday Night at 10:30pm EST (7:30pm PST) would be a good time to try out this 'B Team' Event, but of course that is open for discusion.

...Imagine Destro's reaction as we heal eachother while picking them off one by one....!

I think that would be fun. So far I am a clumsy WP and havent tried an AM since beta. Course if it is SC only gear may be an issue.

I am interested. I currently have a WP @ R9 but am more than willing to start another AM as I would love to return the Beam o' Death on the Shamans.

Personally, I think we'd have a better chance surviving our battles in T2 because of the higher availablity of skills...(my AM is also rank 12) ...But I'd gladly start from scratch if we want to do it that way and learn our skills together as a Team. Starting from T1 might also yield more members willing to try it out. We'll have to decide quickly if which Tier we wish to start in, so that there is time to bring up baby Alts to Rank 10 by next Monday if need be. So far, it seems we have half of our starting team (before Arcatus joins us in T3), Great start! Bashir, which class are you going to try, WP or AM? No worries if we get more than a full party. For example, if we had 8 members for the Team, we'd just queue in two groups of four each. Or maybe queue as our Healing Duos. It'll be figured out. Sign up!

Yes! I am so in on this. Been wanting / thinking about this for a while, so yes, just tell me when / where. We'd rock T1 too NP, AM and WP both real powerful in that tier i find.

TIER ONE > RANK ONE > We'll start there. :) Monday Night on the 22nd! All those interested, Create a Rank 1 Warrior Priest or Archmage. Norland being the Lowbie Zone with the most common knowledge base, we'll meet up there. In between queues we'll run PQs and the like. Search your inventory for AM and WP gear...and Start collecting. xD Also---DOWNLOAD the CALLING mod. Learning to focus fire with this mod will help our family become the surpreme fight force we -are-! (in everything that we do) Ooooh Can't wait. Just thinking about all those group heals! ~drools~

T1 would be the easiest to get our feet wet, T2 would be easiest to get all the beasties together as the game slows down a bit there, we will also get hurt bad in the beginning levels as the scenario difficulty amps up a bit. You are putting this together so pick one A. We have 4 willing to start at any level. And Arcatus looks like he will join us when we hit T3. Might decide by that time we need a tank or dps to join us, or we could recruit dps from the guild to play as fillers. If needed, otherwise your buddy system looks fun.

I will make some low level Wisdom/Strength Pots as they are cultivated, Armor Pots are harder to produce and as such may be better as talismans. Making talismans could be of use, low level Wis/Str/Armor perhaps? I am unsure to the level requirements now but if we are running PQs then I expect us to all have Carnage Sets at least, and T2 will see us in Havoc/Tracker Sets all of which have decent stats and talisman slots.

Thinking about this we have an interesting tactic, not sure about some of the later damage potential but I know the worst thing about melee is having to move fast and get hit by ranged anyways, this setup we have options. When getting assaulted by Melee we can have the WPs Focus on DD (damage dealing) while the AM focuses on healing in the duo, when dealing with Ranged have the AM focus on DD. Depending on if the AM is effective at it as I know the damn shamans are. I hear the RP is effective at it as well maybe we could use one of them as well for the additional buff spell they have.

That was the original thought I had Bashir. Though thinking even more, probably too much, about it what happens when we get into crowd control issues later on? Would it be worthwhile to pick up a KoTBS for its group buffs/cc or another tank and have them be the core duo, RP/Tank, combo that we thrive on? This may be taking away the all healer assault force idea that seems to be the plan Ainwe has which is all sorts of goodness, but with the addition of CC will it up the survivability. We might get an RP/Tank duo built up in case of CC issues in the upper tiers [T3&4]. Though as far as scenarios go I am a novice as far as the necessity of tanks.

- - - To Ludoki: I would welcome the addition of Tank/Runepriest Combos (or other combos) queueing up along side us. There's always more than one group in a Scenario. :) Also, many of your ideas are in line with my own. The Archmage must keep alive their WP that is fighting a fresh FrontLine. As we break their Line, the Choppas & the like will abandon their Warrior Priest targets in favor of killing Archmages. Now the Warrior Priest must look out for their AM, keeping the mage-tank alive while the target is DPSed down, focus fire style. A selected WP out of the group Calls out the enemy target in the battle. (preferably healers but they are usually not at the FrontLine) A selected AM out of the group Calls out enemy targets that are attacking one of the Archmages. If your friendly target dies, Simple! Your new secondary target is Yourself....because your healer just died. :P - - - -

SO WE'LL ROLL into Tier 1 next week and I imagine in the couple of hours we're designated to play, our lowbies will be Rank 5+. -First together, we'll hit up some PvE for a short bit to practice our focus firing and to acquire our first few skills. (Rank 3 here we come! lawl) -Then, for practicing focus firing against live targets, RvR & SCs. (FAST XP) The first decent heal comes at Rank 8, so just do your best at keeping your duo up until then. Focus on healing(only) your duo, and Focus on the assist target. :) - - - - Come one, Come all...To the B Team! -MeleeDPS/Healer(WP) + RangeDPS/Healer(AM)- Monday the 22nd. Worry not if you're available for our first night, it won't be hard to 'catch up' to us. T1, baby! - - - -

Sounds like fun Ainwe. I will try to be there for the first day. I was assuming that the Tank/RP would be a filler duo if needed. As the WP/AM combo is all sorts of doable in the first two tiers. Btw do Group HoTs stack?
