New Member Introduction - Wravyn

Hello everyone. Saw there were a couple other posts such as this, so thought I'd do the same. I am a very new player of Warhammer, and have only been playing for about a month or so now. I am a long-time player of other MMO's such as Aion, Runes of Magic and DDO, but have spent most of the last several years playing WoW. Several of my guildies from WoW started playing here, so I thought I'd follow and check it out. I almost always play a healer, which is the reason I chose a Warrior Priest as my first character to level. Trying to take my time leveling her so that I don't miss anything. The fact that I spend 1/2 my time with no clue as to where I should be going also tends to slow me down, but I'm figuring it out. The journey is usually more than half the fun ;-)

My play time can be somewhat sporadic, balancing my job, family and gaming. I work retail, which often does play havoc with scheduled "me" time, but I've become used to that. It also works in my favor when most of the people that I'm online with are on the West Coast, since I'm in Michigan and a total night owl. I have a 19 year old son who is in the Marine's, and he will be heading off to California again towards the end of September, so before he leaves I'll be trying to spend a lot of time with him of course. He is a gamer like his mom, so we spend time together online leveling lowbie characters in various games and being totally goofy most of the time.

I guess that's it. I look forward to meeting all of you, since I joined in the wee hours of the night (well, it was the wee hours here anyway).

Welcome Wravyn!! Hope to see you tonight at the Battle for Badlands T2 event. What WOW server you used to play at? I i used to play at the Warsong server.

Welcome mate. If you ever need advice with the WP, just let me know. Some folks might call me an "expert." I wouldn't, but some might. :P I hope you have a great time and be sure to try out some of the T2/T3 nights if your schedule permits. They can be awfully fun.

I've played on several servers in WoW, but my home for the last several years has been Silver Hand, first as Horde, but for the last 2 years I've been on alliance with a Human Paladin (Wravyn). I'm still playing WoW, it's just rare that I only play one game at any given time. I'm mostly just logging on there to raid at this point, spending the rest of my gaming time playing Warhammer. I'm really enjoying the RvR in this game.

Welcome aboard Wravyn! You could not have picked a better guild to get started on. If I could make some reccomendations I would say of course partake in as much family activity as you can, but also as a newcomer to the Warhammer universe in general I would say BUY SOME BOOKS! When I got burnt out and took a break the literature is what brought me back. As a Warrior Priest I would definitely reccomend starting with Time of Legends, The Sigmar Trilogy (only 2 currently released, book 3 due out in Janury). Really if I could offer advice to anyone playing Warhammer who has not done so, I would scream read the books, really gives you a backdrop to the world and hopes for the future!!!
