T4 Kindergarten

I joined an alliance open warband in Praag yesterday, leader was Drewbaby. As we waited for peeps to accumulate, Drew layed down the rules and one was, " None of that naked stuff. " I winced when he said that and sure enough the majority of peeps in 2 wb's got naked; afterwhich the mocking of the wb leader started. I can see a little funning around but this was nasty; frankly I felt embarrassed for Drew. To Drew's credit, other than a " SHUT UP " to someone, he maintained a professional stoicism. After giving the moveout to Praag's north Keep, a good 4th of the wb went to the south Keep and the insulting wisecracks continued. We got rolled up at north Keep and Drew was derided and mocked more for that. The wb's eventually transformed into a Mega-Zerg and Drew seemed to let it go and move with it..... I can't say I blame him. New to T4 I was positively estatic to get in on a wb forming up since its rare, but this experience was awful. I dropped out after TM was taken and logged off. If this is what you people deal with in T4 everyday on Badlands, it's not worth the monthly fee. No wonder I hear peeps say they prefer T2 or T3.

Well, if I recall correctly, Goji was running some sort of naked fighting event in T4 and the two things collided resulting in much trolling. From what I understand, both sides were trolling each other just as much. I wasn't there, so can't say personally, just going by what was said. I dunno, most of the time it just seems that T4 is one huge ego-fest.

I'm glad you found yourself a Warband yesterday Berelyth, and welcome to T4. I just want to say that the chatter last night was unusually bad (but not unheard of), and I hope that it doesn't turn you off to Tier 4. Unfortunately, Mythic shut down all of the RP servers, and this is the rabble we are left with. However, it seems that over the last month or so, Badlands Chat HAS resembled "WoW's Barrens Chat" more and more. I wish I knew what sparked this latest wave of bad behavior, with its non-stop barrage of personal attacks. What's particularly troubling lately is the improper use of /T4 (which covers not just the zone but EVERYBODY in the game) for this nonsense. The ability to use /T4 (realm war chat) is a guild awarded honor, and with it goes a certain responsibility. It is the responsibility of the Guild Masters to step up and remove that ability from their members that misuse it. Please remember that when you speak (in any public channel), you are representing your GUILD, not just yourself. In a game with the fantasy environment that we play in, it would be nice to see more Honor, Respect, and Civility shown to our fellows in both our actions and words.

Welcome to MMO's in General. Internet is awesome but they bring out the worst in people because there is not fear that the person will come to their house and beat the living crap out of them. If it get to bad report them, and watch as one by one the get suspended and then banned. This is a public game no one should have to put up with people who think they are better then people because then have a peice of armour that isn't even real.

You must be part of the change you want to see in your world. T4 is much like the people that are in it. And there are many of us that are nice, civilized, great people to hang with and fight along. On the other hand, always there will be those who seem to have fun in ruining other people's fun. Its not that hard to deal with it. Some /ignores, a great deal of caution not to vent up these peoples fancy for mocking on you, and you can have fun just fine with the many nice people there is in T4. As much as some people can have fun in being annoying and offensive, even these people don't start doing it unless you provoke them somehow. On the other hand, if you care to understand what they want, even these people can be great warriors in your warband. If they have a great ego, make them prove their bravado in the battlefield. Respect them and understand how to deal with them, and everything can work out fine. And remember that even when one or two ass-hats can be impossible to please in a WB, the vast majority of the WB can be on the leader's side if the leader know how to deal with them, and will make the ass-hats shut up most of the time. MMORPGs can be a great social laboratory if you are so inclined. Otherwise, you can just hang around your friends and do your things, and let the big mobs do their things. As long as they are killing destro and having fun, its not that bad when you're not annoyed with them. =)

You also have to remember the people playing in T2 and T3 eventually get to T4. So the same great people that play in the lower tiers will be in the top tier with you. So when a few jackasses want to be just that...jackasses...you can exercise your /ignore command. The more people you /ignore you can earn funny titles in the game. And I dont know about you; but if someone is being a complete tosser in region, WB, /T4, tells, or any other form of chat this game provides it pretty much ensures I'll never care what that person has to say in the future. Even if they are occationally right. Nor will I ever want to group with them for anything. There are enough good people playing that you can ignore the jackasses and still have a really good time.

Haha Malryan you're still an American stop using British slang....lol (tosser indeed). I think you will see this trend of T4 chat in the gutter for a few more weeks still and it looks just like it did when we from PT all transfered over here. It is just the influx of new people all testing the pecking order in T4. We have a large group of order rerolls from Volkmar that have come in and power leveled into T4 so people who have lead in the past are getting more followers and more haters, thus is the nature of ORvR. I personally run a chat tab that has no region or realm chat what so ever and it hasn't hurt me any. Though I will run one that does if I am bored and want to watch the monkey poke each other. And really any info you truly need will be given in WB/party chat anyway. Welcome to T4.....

I've been in t4 on other servers, and Orderside Badlands is exceptionally bad. I'd say how I really feel but Viktre is givin me the side eye. ^^
