It's the Canadian Flag because Bioware is a Canadian company. Their Head office is in Edmonton, Alberta CANADA.
Apart from what Elistanus said (which is 100% true), it is the Canadian flag because our northern country is, in a word, GLORIOUS.
My humor can be dry and somewhat sardonic so I hope you Canadians didn't take me too seriously here. I just found it humorous that it wasn't an English or American flag (Yes, I know Bioware is Canadian) I had a roommate from Canada. Edmonton to be precise, at least he wasn't a Newfie. So we had many discussions on American/Canadian relationships. Such as how the Canadians stole hockey from us and claimed it as their own. We all know hockey is an American sport. ;)
