Hunter's Vale with the Family

Hello guys,

I've been thinking... why don't we do some Hunter's Vale Family trips? I'm sure many of us would love to grab that cape, and it would be the kind of event that even the newest members (to WAR) would be able to enjoy. I am not very experienced with Hunter's Vale, but I'm sure I can help (and I would love to run with the groups as I really would love to have that cape too).

So... who wants to pull this out? If no one does, I'll be sure to do it when I reach enough family rank.

I've been wanting that for my next main character. He's lvl 20 now, but I can always delete him. After Ben is done doing stuff with Destro in August, I'll redo him and we can run HV. I'll gladly be a tank for it. Couple tips we'll want to go by: #1 Be at least level 10. So many major abilities are given at this level like resurrect and guard. #2 Park your toon at areas where you'll get the LEAST amount of rested xp. That way levels 10 and 11 go much slower.

When you guys are ready, let me know. I have run this 10 times and know a path that we only have to fight one small boss and the big boss. In an hour we can get a cape for a party of 6. Easy stuff. The only thing I have to look up is the pattern for the standing stones, I forgot it.

I actually could just restart Rravensbane now. Ben's destro thing is a ways off.

Is HV only 1-11? Is the cape Bind on Pickup? I am sooo lost..

HV is for ranks 5 to 11, basicaly T1, and yes the cloak is BoP.

Hummmm... Eirean just ranked past 11 (she's 12 now), but Lillandera (my RP toon at The Order of the Broken Sword) or Delianath (my second SM -- yes, I have duplicates in my fave classes... lol) might be rank 10 in a short time. In the case of Delianath, i can have him ready to rumble in some hours with the appropriate amount of Scenarios, RVR and quick quests. It would be great to have the veteran friends along with us. And stean seems to know just the right path to take us to quick glory (and capes for all) =) Thanks for the tips on the (in)correct parking. =) So, should we schedule Hunter's Vale night tomorrow? Or should we shoot it to the other week? (I probably won't be online in the weekend this time) @Bashir: Yes, as far as I know, HV closes after you leave rank 11. In fact, I would love to know if are there other instances that are Tier-dependent. Blessed Be.

I'm out of town this weekend, but we could do it Sunday or Monday night of next week for sure. I don't usually get started until 8pm PST or later. I'll be happy to show some family members the trick I was taught so they can spread the knowledge and share the wealth.

Why don't you just roll another one, so you have a toon at T2 and another at T1?

Monday night is the best for me; I'll be busy Friday/Sat/Sunday.

I'm going ahead and putting this up for Monday night. Since Stean can't show up til 8pm, I'll slot it for then. We can always try it Tuesday/Wednesday again if need be.

Monday night would be great for me! And I'm doing Wolf Pack training. So, if my veteran guildies don't mind, I would like to lead the Wolf Pack (so it would count to my training count). It would be a great chance to make lots of mistakes and make myself look bad in front of my fellows old and new. LOL.

I'm in serious doubt about what character I should sign up for Hunter's Vale. I think I might put some work on my SwordMaster Tank, Delianath, so he reaches the adequate rank for the battle. I don't feel like running with Lillandera -- as the cape wouldn't look really good in her -- and I'm not sure if I will keep playing with Karakhur, my slayer. He's nice and all, but I have a weak spot for elves, y'know? :) So it's possible I'll be adding Delianath to the Family so I could run with him.

You can totally lead the event Seabhran. I'll be there to help tank.

Thank you, Vampiresbane. I just added Delianath to the family. I hope to be able to claim him tomorrow. He's a tank, but i can put a two-handed in his hands so he can double as DPS. And i'll love to lead the WolfPack. After that, we can do some other objectives so i close my training... Blessed Be.

I've a SW I've been holding back so count me in!

I wasn't able to claim Delianath yet, but count me in! I've tried to gear him up a bit, but I wouldn't be able to really gear him up without ranking him too much. So he's about Rank 8 now, using lots of green and some white gear. I guess I will have to trust my meager skills and the kindness of healers to stay alive. But I trust the family. Blessed Be.

Nice to travel with the family, too bad I had to leave before it was successful.
