Ok ive got a question and hopefully Bens hands wont be ties and he can answer this.. on the list under alliances it says that the The Gaisoch/Tuatha Alliances have been accepted... with as bad as i am with celtic lore and remembering the various celtic names we use let alone trying to pronounce them lol does that mean that the alliance that my guild Dragonriders is apart of the testing lol .. i ask because i know we are prety spread out between several alliance.. Also with that being said if that means the whole thing has been accepted how many beta testing slots have been awarded to us? ,, Ive been in quite a few beta test for both games (aka warhamer) and expansion (aka for DAOC) and i know that even though they say your guild or your alliance has been excepted into the beta that it usualy means that only a certian number of slots have been awarded to your guild or allaince and its never enough to give one to every member....I know in DAOC my guild helped Beta test every expansion and though we had as many as 50 people in the guild we were only give 12 slots which ment we had to pick and choose which of our members were allowed to actually do the beta testing.. when we did Alpa testing for warhammer we got 5 slots and with closed beta we got a additional 24 slots that came from our guild being one of the first to be invited into closed beta.. With the amount of people we have in our whole alliance i scaraesly doubt that every single person will be flaged for beta. theres like what 500 + accounts total in our alliance ,, or something like that.. so thought id ask before every one starts drooling ,, just how many beta invites will our alliance recieve , generally speaking that is , I know been wont know the exact number but he can guess. Ok with all that being said exactly how will the desicision be made at who will be awarded a beta test slot. with all thats been said above we will have to pick and choose who will get one of the rare beta invites... is Ben going to just award them to who he feels should have them ??? which is totally his right ro do so sence he is the one who got this alliance going and its his baby -) or will a meeting be called of all the guild leaders in the alliance to come together and decide??? a third way we could decide and this depends on how many beta slots the alliance gets. is to call a meeting of all the GMs in the alliance then divided up the beta slots between those guild leaders that actually attend the meeting. those that dont show would not get invites.. LOL knowing Ben hes probly got this all figured out already so all this banter will be meaningless...

Well the good thing for those of us not in it is we wont have to face the DDOW/DB's for free pre-made sc groups while they are off testing. Hopefully they will test A LOT so I can get my weapons before this baby goes live. Once it does the RVR should be ridiculous.

Something else to look forward to for those of us that didnt make the list for closed beta.. there are 2 part of the beta testing cycle closed beta and open beta. Closed Beta: the closed beta as Ben has it set up is perfect for our leaders, aka those in and out of our alliance that normally lead out in orvr to learn the new areas and help mythic iron out all the bugs and wrinkles that those of us who are not leading would probly miss. So I do agree Ben made the right choice for the invites that he got,, besides who knows mythic just might hand out even more invites down the line,, but keep in mind right now those that should be going into close beta.. at least from my point of view. should be those That actively lead out in orvr eather by leading PUG warbands or warbands during Bens t4 event.. and believe me theres alot of those people, after that it should be support staff, those that scout, gather intel, track down bugs while on events and what have you. Open Beta: Now this is the part of Beta testing that will effect the majority of us and is vary important as well. this will be our chance to do several things. first off many of us are going to want to take a sneak peak and get a advance look at what this is going to look like before the whole thing goes live. BUT most importantly it gives us a chance to hook up with our leaders and help them iron out both tactics and stratagies as well as learn how things work.. and believe me with this new system theres going to be alot to learn and alot of new tactics for us to get used so the many of us that can get into the open beta the better help with the beta,, The whole point of the open beta for us on Badlands though is to learn as much as we can about this new sytem as fast as we can before it goes live,, that way when this goes live we can definatly take it to destro and prove to them once and for all that ORDER hads what it takes to spank them properly.... Now on another note here For those of us that dont make it into closed beta or choose not to take part in open beta, will have some vary important goals to work on as well on the live server while the testers do there thing on the test server. and that is we need to really focus on getting our levels both rvr and pve levels, we need to really work on getting our weapons and we need to work on getting our armor. the more of us that get this type stuff or as much of it as we can the better. we have to start make a strong effort now so that when this new city stuff goes live we can put up a big show for every one and be prepared....

Blocked, there's always a bright side. Sometimes you just have to dig for it. I'd be a poor candidate for testing anyway, afk too much :( Disclaimer: Not AFK in sc's unless it cant be avoided.
