Alright I think I have decided to stick with my WP instead of switching back to my RP. So here we go with spec.

I am currently running full wrath build. I am up to fanaticism but I have not bought any of the skills/tactics yet. As mudrath said we run together so I think I am going to switch over to healing to really keep us alive but it doesnt look like we have many single target "good" heals.
Also I am getting pretty frustrated when lower in the tier because it almost seems as though I should not even be in the scenario with how often I die.
Out of the WPs in the family who is running a full healing spec (back row healing) a melee healing spec (in the thick of things healing) or a full on dps spec (screw healing)
I think I would like melee healing the best if it is a viable spec. I was thinking taking grace up to Leading The Prayer which would really help keep me alive while in the midst of everything. From there I would go back to salv build for healing but I dont like the first two tactics adn would go for Divine Warding.

I will end the wall of text and see what everyone has to say.

Leading the Prayer is not worth the point. Intemidating Repent turns your detaunt into an AOE and as long as you dont AOE with Wrath abilites(which you said you werent picking up) you can keep everyone your not hitting at a 50% debuff. For get teh name Hasten Divinity maybe increases your damage by 15% but reduces healing by 20%. That reduction only affects casted heal not you melee heals. Stacked with Fanaticism for 15% melee crit and you are getting there. May want to drop crit tactic for Grace and Greave of Sigmar. Increase heal % of Dvine strike and the other makes Sigmars Fist a double buff/debuff. If you can get a guard drop Repent With all the armour pots/absorb shields and what have you Grace spec is a rougher road than it once was. You will need a lot of toughness above average strength and a decent amount of weaponskill so divine strike actually hits hard enough to heal. Run with a tank and get guarded also if you can get it run with a melee train. Grace heals with DS and DA can really keep people up but they have to be in close for it to really matter. Its a real pain trying to keep RDPS up as they tend to kite away from you since you will be up in the thick of things. Grace WPs can infact have singel target burst heals that rival AM/RPs but Everything and I mean EVERYTHING must align for it to happen. Hitting targets within the AMs mistress of teh marsh for the initive debuff is huge. Target priority is key be aware whos running armour pots and who is gaurded as this will really cut into your dmg/heal ratio. My 1st Main was a full Grace spec WP and I loved the class but the longer you play the more you will see that if you bite the bullet the Salvation spec just gives you sooo much more utility and advantage for you group/WB. Melee WPs will not rival the DPS a melee DOK can dish out mainly because their healing aura is increase to DMG and the bonuns dmg is turned into health and, the bonus dmg is Spiritual and without capped resists can average 4-500 dmg on every attack. Also they just have more offensive focused abilites. Healing spec the WP outshines the DOK but not by enough IMO for how much they out class them in melee. Good Luck if you stay melee...... /salute

Thanks for the advice. Sadly I was afraid that you were going to say exactly what you did. The saddest part of it all is that the WPs that whined about not being able to match AMs or RPs and got Mythic to change everything did the class a HUGE disfavor. The WP should never be meant for back row healing. There is a reason we have a ton of health and armor and such. What they should have done is make us able to withstand ranged a little better so that we could do what we were meant to do...MELEE! Oh well, I guess I will try out a melee healer for a while and see how upset it makes me. I dont want to top the charts just because i know how to spam group heals, I want to be there because I kept everyone alive and we dominated...

LOL. I guess I should drop the book and go back to 2 hander :) This is what a puny Back Line WP can do: I think that it will be very unlikely I get invited to so many SC groups and Dungeon raids if I dropped being Salvation. I have made 3 WPs to 40. Nicholaes my main is full Salvation and half Grace. Nicholaos is my new full Grace Spec, with just enough for Cleansing Power. Which is basically the whole point in even having a WP. Ultimately in my experimenting, Wrath is the most useless tree there was. Sure there is 15% crit tactic, but is that really a reason to spec a certain way. Soulfire is a joke and nerfed hard. And a 25% heal debuff is almost as usefull as throwing kittens at a Zealot. For solo PvE PQing to level, is the only reason Wrath exist. IMO. The difference between Grace and Salvation have different benifits. The Grace spec WP should be like a Wrath WP, and stack Strength and Wounds. Use Divine Fury and get your attack up by 25%. Your heals are now better based on hits and not your Willpower. I extremely disagree with Toughness on a WP. Actually I extremely disagree with Toughness on anything but a Tank. 5 Toughness to midigate 1 Damage off a hit. Tell me what your Toughness is doing for you when you getting Critted by a Sorc for 2K a pop? For ORvR zerg fest, Grace is awesome. You hit as hard a Wrath WP but now you can heal people. Its nice not having the constant Silence effect you. As for your group, you aren't that effect. Yeah, you are helling all over the place, but you are blindly healing in small amounts. I'm experimenting with Grace in Dungeons right now, but I think it will very much be dependant on gear. Invader is what it looks to be. Salvation, you need a Purple Tome, no choice, you have to. There is a nice level 30 one in LOTD you can get from a purple PQ bag. And of course there is the Tome of Repose as the first INfluence reward of Empire. Slot Willpower and stack it too. I run with Fueled Fury and Exalted Defenses. Group shield is nice, and you probably buy Matre's Blessing too. Its a fun ability, but is broken, don't expect it to always work, or at all. But the group heal, mmmmmmm ..... awesome. Slot your Moral 2 to be Focused Mind, and prepare to be the light that makes Destro think WP are OP. :)
