I went ahead and got a couple movies encoded from the 2/24 raid. Congratulations to everyone for a job well done. I had a great time with you all out there, and hope everyone else enjoyed it as well! May the future bring many more (and less wiping on Ghrond -- Healers and RDPS under the 2nd ramp, tanks on lord, back out to balcony to position the lord's AoE to be harmless. Then the keeplord wins the siege for you when it repops. Should take a very short amount of time to drop that lord with the numbers we had)!

Hope ya enjoy the footage, courtesy of your war reporter!

Next time its protected I want to try the Hydra assault I thought up after last nights siege. Warband 1 rush roof, Warband 2 Hold bottom floor, Warband 3 take second floor outter ring. Then we all converge and collapse the sphere around them. When we rushed lord they went to roof, we rushed roof they moved healers to outter wall and bottom floor, if we take all their escape routes away theoretically they should lose.

That's well and good, but as a long time PvPer and avid fan of 'perma-red' servers (Yes, I do play on the PVP servers here too - as destro, IMAGINE THAT and order is ragtag there too) I heartily suggest faster strategies. People in large groups have a tendency to stray, and for each stray there's a stronger chance of someone following them. We had too many that did not follow the plan, even in guild run warbands which resulted in a wipe. Two actually. The faster you get in a position of power, the better off you will be. If everyone would listen and healers weren't getting focus trained it would be a great plan. Right now we do NOT have focus trains going, which is serious problem. Sadly, it takes a lot of work to teach a large group how to PvP effectively and the difference in playstyles needed between small ORvR skirmishes, scenarios, keep defense, and keep offense. There's a LOT to be said for a fast moving, highly DPS/focus fire oriented, group that has strong unit cohesion. I've seen this proven repeatedly, both giving and receiving. If we have one band of "hit em where it counts or die trying" and another more "stay topped up on health and keep pounding" group there's going to be a lot of carnage on the field. I can go into further detail later, but I do have quite a few tricks up my sleeve for large scale PvP.

Ah Memories! Great footage, but you edited out my one and only pulling of the pole! The one where we were defending Maidens with under a minute left to go! And while you caught Rhiannon singing Ding Dong the Oil is Dead, I can't believe you didn't capture that other song she was singing... you know... the one that keeps playing over and over in your mind... driving you to the bring of insan... ah... the catchy one. Good job though. I love the newspaper headlines and commentary. I hope you do it more. Did you get the Chicken Run?

I strongly agree with this concept. The keep assaults are very fast pace. The faster everyone is ready the more effective and efficient we will be to take on the keep. Very good for what it was worth. I talked to you about having a lot of guildies in order to do these events and you said to lead by example. As this may be true, I feel that we need a majority of guildies there in order for these type of strategies to work. I think that night we had about 20%. Once we hit about 50% guildies and fill the rest in with alliance and pugs, a lot more people will follow. And you know that for sure 50% are going to follow because they are part of the guild. Just my .02

Okay my two cents.... When I played this game last year I had a lot of success on my destro character as a member of Shadow Company on Ostermark (the Order side here was pretty much non-existant so I switched to there after Nicole hit 20 and nothing was going on, yet on the forums the Destro was active as heck). A couple huge keys for our WB success, which may sound petty but I see them missing on this server a lot: Warband Leader needs to type in all caps, and type a LOT. This may sound silly, but people who join the WB and are not in our guild (on vent) need to know what's going on. As soon as we took our objective we announced the next as such. THIS OBEJECTIVE IS OURS IN TWO MINUTES. ONCE IT IS CAPPED WE ARE HEADING TO XXX. You get the idea. As for the speed of the warband it is imperitive you have a scout, and two if at all possible. In T2 this person has to be mounted so the can move FAST. They need to be on ventrilo and communicating with the WB leader on enemy movement and next objectives. The communication between the scout and the WB leader is crucial to keep the pace fast. I have my witch hunter, Nicole, who is currently 20 and mounted and I completely volunteer for this anytime one is needed. ((I got some more but let me get some work done first!))
