History of Iron Legion

Here is a little background on Iron Legion. The guild was started in DAoC on the Merlin serve, in Mid. We proclaimed the defenders of the realm, when our keeps and towers where under attack, we would issue a Call to Arms. In which anyone in the alliance that was on would come running no matter the Level. Then when WarHammer came out Me and Keggan, officers of the guild, along with the 4 founders of Iron Legion moved to Phoenix Throne to set up in order. We made a lot of friends here on PT, but with time, issues and bug problems of the game the founders turned in their cloaks and moved on. Now comes the time of choice, to move Iron Legion or let be buried on PT. As the new leader of Iron Legion of PT, I am going to lay the mighty guild to rest, we where strong and proud, but like all warriors, we die to be reborn as new stronger ones. In this statement, and in another post I am proud to say this. Iron Legion will be reborn, on the server we pick, as Gaiscioch na Nuada the Warriors of The Silver Hand. I welcome all that need a home.

Iron Legion will forever live in our hearts. I was proud to fight along side our brothers and sisters from Iron Legion.

It's a shame you can't keep the name. I LOVED the feel of it. It will, however, be awesome to have 3 "Gaiscioch's." What style of banner/standard are you going to go for?

Blockhead, I'm sorry to see the name go, I always liked it. I posted in another thread that I'm going to lay Sanctus Immortalis to rest. I inherited the guild when pretty much all others had quit playing, but I've since decided that being a guild leader is not for me. I enjoyed my time as an officer within the guild, but once the weight of the mantel fell to me....it was too heavy. I'll be transfering the guild to the new server on an alt that doesn't get played much...mostly for sentimental reasons. Having said that, I have been thinking about where to 'hang my hat' on the new server for my myriad of active toons. And I kept thinking Iron Legion, I really like that Blockhead guy...maybe its the easy going accent on vent ;). I would love if you would allow me to join you on the new server.

Zhand your more than welcome to join. Its was a tough choice to lay Iron Legion to rest but with what me and ben had discused i fell that this would be better on the new server.

I honestly feel coming onto a new server with a 32, 31, and 17 guild all under the Gaiscioch Family name we will be a force to be reckoned with. From there we just need to live up to our name and bring the fight to their doorstep without causing animosity or hard feelings. That will be my department. This new life will bring us new allies that we could have never had without it. While we will likely say farewell to old friends the dawning of a new era breaths new life into our families. Lets keep our chin up and look to the future as a story waiting to be written. We hold the pen and it will be whatever we make of it. I am so proud to have all of you on this adventure with me. I am truly blessed to have so many wonderful people to call family. Thank you all.

Block? I've two unguilded very low level alts I'd be happy to use for you if you need. Maybe the move would be a fun time for me to learn how to either be a WP or KotBS. Up to you.
