The Order of the Silver Hammer
The Order of the Silver Hammer ((The Silver Hammer ingame...full name was too long)),is one of four orders within the Cult of Sigmar, specifically dedicated to combating the forces of Chaos and carrying Sigmar's word into battle. Primarily made up ofWarrior Priests, the Order would dispatch its numerous forces to aid the regular army groups in combat as well as with matters of faith. Having a Warrior Priest on the battlefield provided a much needed morale boost as well as causing the regulars to fight with a religious zeal lest they be branded acoward in the eyes of Sigmar's chosen.
However, as the war raged on some of the more intelligent abominations of Chaos realised that by killing one of these holy warriors the morale boosting effect could be reversed causing mass panic. They started touse this to their advantage, specifically targeting the Warrior Priests andthose that stood with them. The number of trained and highly experienced Warrior Priests in the Order started to dwindle leaving only a scarce hundred or so.
Seeing the need to bolster its numbers the Grand Theogonistassigned an Arch Lector to lead the order and bid him to do what he must to revive it and push back the tide of Chaos. In a daring move the new Arch Lector opened the Order up to all able body citizens of the Empire with the intent to crush those who would defy the word of Sigmar. From noble Knight to lucrative Witch Hunters all would be welcome in the halls of the Order of the Silver Hammer.
With numbers on the rise, the Order would take to the field not as one warrior posted to aid others but as a regiment. They would bring the holy fire of Sigmar down upon the blight cleansing it from this world. Now is the time for The Order of the Silver Hammer to shine bright against the darkness and bring victory to the Empire!
