Solving the "Lair of Krela Darkshroud" Mystery

I have for a long time been working on a solution to the puzzle which opens the door to the lair of Krela Darkshround. I have decided to post my breakthroughs here so that any of you might see something I missed.

What I Know:

Hero Boss: Level 31 Hero Vampire named Krela Darkshround
Location: Badlands 23k, 62k
Boss Despawns at: 5:30 am Game Time aka /time


What is Rumored:

1. Standing on the 3rd stone from the left facing the tomb door gives you an aura, which makes the stones clickable.

2. Being Accessible might have something to do with who own's the zone. I've seen a few places mention that when they opened the door one side or the other owned all locations in the zone. I will try to verify this once I know more.

My Thoughts.
Well being Krela is a vampire the 5:30am game time despawn makes sense. Vampires hate daylight so my guess is her Lair locks around that time. Which thinking this way would lead me to believe that opening the door should be done between 5pm - 12am Game Time. Im guessing it must be night time to be able to enter the lair. Being it seems to be a time based thing it will take a bit of camping the location to discover the "Magic" time when you can gain the aura.

As I progress in figuring out how exactly to unlock this I will post it here. Once I know for sure one way or another I will make a full fledged guide so that we as a family can get put on the map as the first source to have a real guide on how to unlock and defeat this Tier 3 Boss.

Field owned completely by destro. Gametime midnight rolled across with no effect.

Next point of interest is the fact if you stand on the 3rd stone from the left at exactly midnight the moon will be directly over the door., If you stand on the 2nd stone from the left at 3:00 in game the moon will be directly over the door. Im thinking this Lair has something to do with this moon dial. I will find out what times it is over the 1st and 4th stones.

Note: in patch notes for 1.2.1 i found this: "Lair of Krela Darkshroud: Krela Darkshroud will no longer despawn shortly after being spawned. She will remain spawned until killed." Which probably means its bugged at this point. Might have to wait till after patch.

Well I sat out there for about 4 hours straight on my black orc on another server that's in T3, and I hopped from rock to rock a few times and I stood on each rock at certain times when the moon was out and nothin happened to me, and the aone changed control from order to destro so i tryed with both zone control on my own, soo i dunno maybe get more people so one on each rock or something

SOLVED! Game Time Was 5:0:00, I stood on the second stone to the right which activated the far left stone. Then I activated each stone in a counter-clockwise order and viola the door opened. Killing her with 2 groups took 11 minutes but we finally killed her. Got a belt nobody could use.... ugh. To kill her make sure you bring someone who can silence. Her lifetap is vicious and makes for a prolonged fight.

Good work. I just wish they would up the drops a little bit more on those lairs. Maybe drop 3-5 items instead of the 1-3(I think) that drop now.

Or at least lock what they drop to what is in the warband that defeated it. We got a IB belt without a IB available.

She was tough to kill. Longest Lair Boss fight I have seen so far. She summons Champion Wolves constantly. Once you kill her though they go away.

Most of the feedback I'm getting is that next time we should flip you to sword and board don as i guess for boss fights its a "Standard Procedure" lol. We'll have to swap ya and see if that makes a difference.

Most everyone skips lairs now cause its just not worth the trouble...too much effort for 1 piece of gear (never seen them drop more than 1) and soemtimes ninja'd by some asshat not even in the WB who just happens to zoom in and tag the mob first...I think fun to do once or twice then the novelty wears off...glad you all figured it out though, could never figure out how to spawn her...
