Now I know Warhammer is bugged!!! Went down in flames when I was in an AOE frenzy outside of Dok couple nights ago, was testing out new addons...Maybe I'll take up EVGA's offer and upgrade to a 280 or above hehe, just got the card like 6 weeks ago argh.
BTW anyone recommend a good case? I had a mid tower Aurora from Gigabyte but the airflow is the pits, managed to burn an 8800GTX 6 weeks ago (hence the 260)...I got a Cosmos S yesterday and the power switch didn't work so I took it back (its hella sexy omg too bad *cry*). Any suggestions?
Oh btw, I used the following to weed out video/crash issues in the past with warhammer, works like a charm, put this in when I started playing warhammer again when I came to Phoenix Throne, never had issues again.
Vista specific
- Disable windows defender (can probably do this in services, but you can use the applet in control panel)
- Disable UAC
- Disable windows index service (in services)
Video
- enable protect process and protect mmio (I use rivatuner)...like doubled my fps after this with vista
Generic
- disable punkbuster...responsible for a lot of CTDs
