Oh the horror, a 50% guild tax! While this number is scary lets break it down a bit. When you take a look under the hood at how this works you'll realize that 50% is nothing compared. Here are some important things to remember:

1. Guild Taxes ONLY Come From Coin Pickups on Corpses

2. The Average Level 40 Mob Drops 2 to 4 Silver.

3. Auction Hall, Loot Sales, Quests, Junk Sales DO NOT Get Taxed.

4. The Average Fragment from Scavenging Sells for 20s. This is not taxed.

Over the past week Both Donulliam and I have tithed 100% and found that out of everything we have done in Lost Vale, Sigmar Crypts, oRvR, Scenarios, and Land of the dead, Neither of us managed to Donate more than 2g. However by selling the loot, turning in quest the both of us earned over 30g.

This being said, do not fear taxes as they are only taking out of the funds that come off corpses. If taxes included everything a 2% tax would be a bigger cost than at 75% tax in the current system. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Now for us to continue to claim keeps daily we need to examine our families finances and realize that while we generate about 2 gold per hour as a family each keep we claim uses 2 gold per 5 minutes. If we wish to continue to claim keeps and have conquerer and annihilator bags available to family members we have to increase the funds for the Gaiscioch and Gaiscioch na Nuada side of the family. We are raising the tax for these 2 rooms as they have the epic mounts and all the benefits as well as being the most costly for claiming keeps. The current rate has been increased to 75%. This should help stabilize our funds to a level that should maintain itself. Anu will remain at 50%.

Current Tax Rates:
Gaiscioch na Anu: 50%
Gaiscioch: 75%
Gaiscioch na Nuada: 75%

for a month Iron Legion had a guild tax of 100%, it didn't effect my money that much, cause from doing quests and scouting in the oRvR lakes, and sells on the auction house and from the junk drops i picked up made me gold. Not the coin found on our foe, anyways that coin is suporting the war effort for claiming keeps and make them dom locks posable. I and Iron Legion suporrot Foghladha if anyone that is in a real bind cant give me a shout and i can help. I dont want nothing in return other than when i am or anyone else that is in need of help or a few coins here or there, step up like the heros we are and help our Brothers and Sisters in their time of need.

Quick question as I never heard about the gold bag thing. The gold bags that you get from claiming the keep, are they the ones that have the annihilator gear and such in them? I'm mostly curious because I just hit RR 33 and have been trying unsuccessfully to out roll 100+ people every time I'm out in T4 and trying to get the helm and chest to complete my set.

Check the website. There are several bags available in the Family Vault. We have almost every item that comes out of them. Both Anni and Conq.

kindof off topic but could you explain the Guild Vault thing? I am not high enough level to use most of the stuff yet anyways. Is it kind of a honour system thing? 'take an item and leave some coin?'

You claim things from the guild vault using Family Vault Credits which you earn 1 for every 100 Family Honor Points you earn and 1 every 50 Contribution (Donation) points you earn. I believe you currently have 2 Credits available. You can use these credits by visiting The Family Vault and clicking the buy now button. The item will then be mailed to you. Also in each of the Gaiscioch rooms we have vault page 1 available to all registered members that you are welcome to take what you need from there. We stick everything that gets sent in that doesn't go into the system in the first page.

I have had my tithe set to 100% since I hit T4. I have never had a problem with gold. I even have to deposit gold on top of the tithe to keep our guild funded because we are so small. Please note that gold has very little value in this game besides funding guild claimed keeps. The vault system used by the family will keep almost all toons from having to spend too much gold on gear. The most expensive thing you will need to buy is a mount.
