How to survive on a NON-RP server

Here's a few tips to prevent /ragequit over being around silly stupid player names in Aion.

1.) Turn off PC names (found in the Game Option Menu).

2.) Leave regional chat. ('tab options' then click the + sign for the Channel dropdown, then uncheck the box for Channel 1.

3.) Feel free not to respond to players who have stupid or offensive names. Ignore them mentally when they use /say, like they don't exist. Use the /ignore player for the extra special types.

In other news, I noticed the Asmodian Regional Chat was less... 'You know' than the Elyos regional chat. So that's good for us. I wish only I had more time to play in the beta, but I have a busy busy week ahead of me. Can't wait for the REAL DEAL! <3

Looked for "Turn off PC Names" option was the first thing I did when I logged into the Closed Beta. So while you guys were being irked off by that Legolas dude, I was having a hard time looking for any of you even though you're standing in front of me. Can't wait for the real deal as well!

I really wish there was an RP server. Don't care too much about the names but wow chat in /1 is baaaadddd

I am willing to bet when the game goes live the chat will be monitored a bit more.....well hoping anyway.

I suspect the Regional chat will be ... to our disliking ... for a few weeks or at least until we get to the level 25+ zones. :) I still remember when I joined with the 10-day WAR trial, the Regional Chat there was also spicy. A loooot of comparisons and whining, but also some good feedback; which I also heard in Aion regional. Just the trolls talk the loudest in general chats. ...They speak the loudest everywhere actually... Poor miserable people, so many of them in the world. >< Oh and you can still see group names I believe even with the player names off. I hope to be playing tomorrow afternoon / evening. :D <3 :)

egads regardless of server type I would hope those names would be changed.

We ran into the same kinds of things when War was open beta, people don't have to pay for it so they decide to put their stupidity to the max level. Once it goes live and they have to pay to play, the attitudes might change a bit. I hope they do.

I ignore everyone with silly names and sizes. And I rather adventure in the channels 7+ ... less annoying midgets running around. =)

Gods, the stuff I've seen in what little time I've actually played in AION has been...horrific at best. It's astounding how the mentality level of some people drops when they realize they're "anonymous".

Asmodian side isn't as awful, Regional chat wise. <3

Thank the gods. I wanted to physically smack one punk named "Ipeedmypants" yesterday a) because of his name and b) because the stuff he was spewing was just... Erg. There really are no words for what he was spewing.
