Grimfir here, better known in real life as Scott, have spent some time with some of you so far and have been having an awesome time. I've realized I haven't properly introduced myself.

Real Life

Currently a regular worker at a Hibachi Express restaurant. I've also been to school for web design, networking and biotechnology though finishing in these areas wasn't my strong suit. So guess I am still searching for my area of expertise. I'm a big nerd, big having duel meanings, friends call me the big guy, since I am 6' 3" and about 280lbs(and I play a dwarf) and as well cause I love all things nerdy. I will be attending DragonCon once again this year and looking forward to being in costume as Perrin Aybara and Bane. So that covers some of the real me. To continue....

MMORPGs

I began playing Everquest as my first game, then Everquest 2. I have played World of Warcraft, City of Heroes and it's darkside CoV. As well as playing Fury and that's about it except for a few miscellaneous titles that I didn't play long enough to feel the need to mention. So that covers that and so on.....

Gaming Philosophy

I believe in having fun and despise having a great deal of stress or drama in my hobby. I will often go long periods without talking due to my tendency to zone out while leveling, usually from reading or often just losing myself in the fun of what I am doing. That being said ya may have to say something to me a couple of times to get my attention. I am not greedy, if something comes my way that others will benefit from, it will go to them. I have a knack for filling up a guild vault to be honest. I enjoy rvr and pve equally, though rvr is only truly fun with a large group.

Well to wrap this up, I look forward to playing with ya'll and look forward to exploring this world with ya'll.

Grimfir aka Scott

This is definitely a great game for immersion, especially if you're already well acquainted with the Warhammer universe. Playing World of Warcraft was kinda fun at first because of all the similarities to the Warcraft RTS, but all the 4th wall slaughtering on the part of the game designers got tedious after awhile (plus, there's no real RP in Warcraft's MMORPG that I've been able to find). Everything I've seen thus far in Warhammer has been pretty much in-character, and while it might reference something outside the game, it still does it in an in-character way (like the Zealot skull that says "Alas, poor Zealot, I knew thee well.") The Roleplaying aspect is great too... it's refreshing to see people roleplaying and, when they do complain about roleplaying, it's complaints about things like "I can't sit down at the pub and enjoy a pint" rather than "why are people telling me not to roleplay on a roleplay server." So, yeah, immersion in this game is great, and I'm glad you're enjoying it. Welcome aboard :)

Cead Mile Failte Grimfir, It's great to have you with us. This family was built on the idea that not everyone likes to do everything. We try to keep our minds open to anything and defiantly are against forcing people to do anything. It is one of the reasons we call ourselves a family rather than a guild. With a guild it's like a military. You get your orders and that's what you do. In a family, all you parents out there can sympathize, if you tell a kid to do something they tend to do the opposite. However that doesn't mean their not family and we don't still love them for it. Fact is we all have different schedules, lives, gaming styles, etc. The important part is that we are all here together. When you need to talk to someone were all here, when you feel like socializing were all here, when you feel like using a squig herder as a keg stand were all here. We provide a unified but diverse mix of people and together there's not much out there that can stop us. I look forward to spending some more time with you in the future im sure there is fun to be had. If you ever have any Web dev/design/seo questions or even need some help finding a job just let me know. I have a knack for these things. Welcome to the family Slan go Foil (Goodbye for now), Foghladha

Thanks for the warm reception and just a little side note I have a very dark and twisted since of humor, atleast mmo humor that is. I also welcome any and all creative ideas and information for this game, as in things that many may know that I may not. I am a quick study too. A job you say? hmmmmmm

Eq was my first MMORPG. I started playing it when it first came out. It was so much fun because no one knew anything about the world. There were all sorts of rumors flying around, some true, some false. One of my good quake buddies was an EQ beta tester, so we followed his lead. I think it was the first time a lot of us played a game that didn't have a "save game" feature, and we were terrified of dieing and losing our character's armor (and months of work). I can remember how my heart raced as I was being chased by a cyclops for the first time in S. Karana. I got my revenge later on Foon and Choon... loved kiting those guys... of course I was a DRUID! I also love City of Villains (CoH not so much). I like the unique characters and the fact that you create a story for your toon. I had a fire corrupter called the Little Match Girl. Like the fairy tale, she had been found frozen to death holding a match in her hand. So they brought her to the morgue. Later that night the morgue burned down. All of the bodies were accounted for except hers. The night watchman said he saw a young girl leaving the inferno holding a lit match. She had a glazed look in her eyes and she kept repeating "I just need to get warm... I just need to get warm..." I also had an alien chic who, through careful manipulation of the costume interface, appeared to be naked except for wristbands. Gotta protect those wrists! She was green with red birth marks all over her. Her name was Roswell Jones and... you guessed it... she was the product of an alien abduction/seduction.
