A few examples of my work

These were hastily taken with my camera today, the good digital versions are locked in a zip file that I can't open. :/

First two are done in charcoal and white conte. Graphite and watercolor wash Work in progess...!!! The dark layers and not on here yet.

Thanks. :) I've been drawing/painting with a passion my whole life, but was unclear on how to make money at it. I was only able to attend CCS (Art College) for a year before I was financially unable to return. (sadness) So I picked up a silly day job (40hrs a week at craptacular pay) that I only intended to work at for a while until I figured stuffs out, but I ended up working there for 9 years! Ahh! This last July 4th, on Independence Day, I was able to finally able to quit that job at the drug store. My house only looks so uncluttered NOW cuz I've been FREE (yay) for the last month and have finally energy to devote to keep it in order. Easy to do now that it's my 'studio', and workplace. Only takes three hours for our lil house to look HIT... hehe ...So I gotta stay on top of it. I'm hoping now to find commission work for portraits of kids, adults, families, pets, and the like. I just need to get a site together before the year closes. You know I'll be scouting Ben's Portfolio for ideas on layouts. >:) Pomona is an Artist too, and I'm anxious to see her work. I admire her greatly, not only does she render stuff for fun on her own time, she also has a job in graphic design and stuffs! You're my heroine Pomona! My inspiration! I know you have a Deviant art account but I'm clueless on how to search by artist. You can email your stuffs to me or you can post em here. :D Our own lil artist's community! <3

I hate you both :) I wish I could draw. I wish I had pictures of my designs but sadly I don't have blueprints of my designs and the pictures I had of my work didn't do it justice. I was a theatrical lighting designer. I gave it up for a job that paid and never got back so congrats on being able to get back to doing something you obviously love and are darn good at.

Nice work, Ainwe. For a guy who's surrounded by an artsy family (my sister's gallery: http://heathyap.deviantart.com/) and an even artsier friends, I can only draw stick figures.

Pomona, you have a great style! What medium is that? It reminded me of primsacolor markers but it is too clean. Ah, I see now, it's Digi! Sweet. Do you use some kind of pen / pad for that or do you use a mouse? I saw the link to the digi 'Paint' program, Looks way fun without the mess of traditional work! I've been outta the loop for too long. I must have that program! hehe. Love your use of color and light. Oh and the 'well you found me' pic you said that the background was boring, but I beg to differ. It draws the eye to the white figure in the center. <3 You have the kinda style Pomona that inspires me to produce, even though my own is a different kind. Like the classical musician who listens to rock music on her radio. I also have a lot of work to do to come close to touching the amount of recent cool stuff you have completed. Glad you showed me, I've been missing my colony of artists for a looong time. (From school) It's been hard for me here isolated from those of like mind. Suppose I outta get off my booty and join the local guild. And Aractus, your sister and I have the same kinda of preference! We both love doing portraits in graphite with a realistic feel. :) Tell her she ROCKS! Thanks for showing me those galleries... I feel, ...happy! to have friends of similar mind. :) :) :) :)
