Idea: Adding Public Quests to Leadership / Fellowship Points

I had an idea of potentially adding the Public Quests to the Leadership part of the site so that the Raid Leaders can also lead PQ raids, and allow members to collect Fellowship points for participating. Currently as it stands now the Leadership points become activated once you hit rank 5 or Saighdear. The Raid leader will need to input the PQ's once they are captured so that the participants can receive credit. I think with this ability it will help people progress through the ranks a wee bit easier. The first few ranks go by quickly, but as you get higher level it slows down. Let me know what you think.

Definitely a great idea! My highest character is 20, but soloing the PQ's at that level is very monotonous, and I can rarely get past the first stage unless there's an open group in the area, which has happened for me only twice so far.

Sorry for the double reply, but in all honestly I feel that there is a lack in raid leaders. I know life doesn't revolve around the game, but we have a lot of new members(Free men, like me) that are on very early in the day. I was hoping that maybe we could get something going at earlier times for the day time players so that they don't feel left out. In my personal experience as of late I've been leading pub Rvrs during the day until about 6pm eastern time. When I do I usually ask the guild members if they would like to tag along. Anyways this is just a thought. Maybe need daytime events if possible, just because the Rvr scene is so random, you could get screwed every night. But we could do an on hand event and gather what we can and do BO's in the meantime ect. Just things to keep the ball moving and people can earn more points in the guild.

I am defiantly interested in talking to anyone who is interested in scheduling a weekly raid night. I can walk you through the process and help you get enough FHP to be able to lead raids. I run both the tues and thurs night oRvR, and attempt to run pickup raids every time im on. We just need a few more people who enjoy to run raids and we will have a pretty good army on our hands.

I think it would be good not only to add it to the leadership part - but maybe five a few points for participating in PQ's lead by one of the raid leaders. I am on quite a bit during the day and there is a lack of raiding of any type going on for the most part. As an example...early today (2/26) in T3 almost everthing was locked by Order except for two BO's. Our biggest challenge was defending PW - which was initiated by one of our members. I think they should get leadership points for leading the defense also. It might help some of our members to be able to pick up points for participating in and leading PQ's and Keep defenses.

We have the ability for raid leaders to run PQ raids now :). Soon Corae will have raid leader status and can start running PQ raids on the side. Defense is tricky, where do you define a successful defense. I've been thinking of this same idea. Perhaps each time the doors close and the keep is deemed secure? So the defense requires A: the assault to be big enough to break the doors, B: The routing of all the attacking force, C: the repair of the doors. The thing i want to avoid is having people pad their stats because one WE suicided on a keep. It needs to be something Formidable. Idea's that wont take me a million years to code?

Defense really is odd. I think it would be considered successful if the attack is not a door prep, the enemy are either routed or all killed, the door repairs, and the siege lasted at least 10 minutes. If your warband received more than 1500 influence it was a great success, 2500+ amazing. That's counted over the entire siege duration (but very hard to actually determine the influence gained since a lot of times you are capped in the zone). The only downside is that it is possible to get a tick that boosts you immediately into these ranges; I've got a screenshot of a 932 point influence tick for defending a battlefield objective, but those are an exception to the rule.

I would consider any Destro wipe (of more than one party), or a defense of say more than 10 minutes or a route, whichever comes first to be a successful defend. I'm going with that based on the premise that BO's usually take less effort than that, and count towards a successful raid. If your going to make defenses more difficult than that, then it really isn't worthwhile to defend a keep, when you can farm BO's. I'd rather support defending keeps over wandering around capping BO's. The question would be, can you have multiple keep defenses in a row? You wipe an attacking warband, and they come back a second time. Is that two defenses (assuming both attacks take a certain amount of time, and the attackers are wiped both times)?

The other factor is the new patch. How is it going to change our world. Door prep will be a thing of the past. It sounds like its going to add more waiting around and less action.

I was in 2 keep defenses the other night but was not the leader and was the only member there - so no way could they count. I would assume for a successful defense a family member must be the WB leader - have at least "x" number of family members with you - the doors must come down - and the enemy leave in defeat - and the doors go back up. I don't think it has to be a full WB by any means - the keep defense by one of our members and a few other Gaiscioch was just more than a group and we defended agaisnt about 2/3 a Destro WB and the one I was in the other night - there was only 4 of us defending against 1/2 a WB - and we we're successful - just the perfect 4 - tank, healer, mdps, rdps - and we worked together. If it had been 4 Gaiscioch members - I would have called it a successful keep defense for the leader and the members - both doors came down and they made it to the lord's room - they were repelled - and we were there until the doors closed. I must agree - this is tougher and a greater challenge than taking BO's - most PQ's are harder to complete than the BO's.
