We are on the only PvP server. Keep in mind we don't play this alot, more just doing a recon mission just in case Warhammer goes belly up. Don't like being caught without a plan. I'll let you know when we actually form the Family there so that I can send any who want to play an invite. Runes of Magic Features: 1. Free to play: no monthly fees, free to download 2. Regular new content updates, e.g., classes, races, game modes and much more 3. Extensive dual class system with six primary classes and a selectable secondary class 4. Versatile spell and attack combinations 5. More than 1,000 quests and comprehensive quest series with continuous storyline 6. Enthralling background story 7. Freely accessible game world in atmospheric 3D 8. Instanced and persistent dungeons 9. Individually developed skills and spells 10. Armor sets with special bonuses 11. Dynamic item system: upgrades available with hundreds of runes 12. Player vs. player system with arena battles and guild wars 13. Server vs. server PvP 14. Ranking system: ranking lists 15. Mounts: various unique mounts 16. Epic crafting system with the chance to improve existing items 17. Housing from the beginning: personalization of houses through individual furnishing 18. Guild houses in special zones 19. Reputation system 20. Scalable user interface based on user preference (development of add-ons possible) 21. In-game map and radar system to easily find dealers, resources and quests 22. Auction house: auction and purchase in-game items 23. Teleporting possibilities using runes 24. Control with mouse (point and click) and/or keyboard (WASD or arrow keys)
We have formed the Gaiscioch on Grimdal (PvP) for any that wish to join us. Please contact Foghladha, or Donaliam for invites.
P.S. Guild Colors are Blue & White here. The green and yellow looks gross and I remember a few of you liking blue. Enjoy.
I downloaded the client last week. But that's when I also received my beta invitation to play D&D Online: Unlimited. The game is fun, by the way. If you liked single-player D&D based RPGs, like Neverwinter Nights or Icewind Dale, then you'll definitely like this too. But I can't compare this game to Runes of Magic since I haven't tried RoM yet.
The only problem i have with MoM is what would make me consider playing it: F2P. Most F2P games focus a lot more in how to make money from microtransactions than on making great content to keep their player base busy. I hope this game is not like it.
Edit: Busy AND happy like rainbow unicorns.
Well interesting enough it would only cost 24,000 on the auction hall to buy 1 diamond which is what you buy with real money. Its about 1 dollar per diamond. 24,000 gold is what I'm selling a stack of 100 Zinc Ore (First Level Mining Req.) for. I just made 100k by selling supplies in 1 day of playing 2 hours. It is not that hard to bypass the micro transaction side of the game. So far im level 14.9/5 and have not paid a cent nor have i spent over 15 hours on it. It levels pretty quickly and on our server PvP starts at level 15. The guild system seems interesting, The main reason i joined was to see how their guild castle system / battle worked. It's got more bells and whistles than any MMO I've played before however I just don't know if its a long term game. It might be nice for those who cant afford a 14.99 subscription every month.
Just a note, there is a second PVP server, so make sure that you join Grimdal for Gaiscioch, I have been playing that more than WAR as of late because I am not able to devote the time needed to play WAR right now. I am having fun with the different classes, and I like that you can dual class, that gives alot more options of how to customize your character. Money in this game is even easier to attain than in WAR, the quests give you a good amount and selling items to vendors isn't too shabby. If you like to craft you can make all kinds of money on the auction system. I do like the combat system, and some of the classes have finishing type moves. What I have liked so far is that there is really no one dual class combination that seems far overpowered than any other, some take more time to defeat but it has seemed that skill and knowing what you can do with your character versus the person who you are fighting is key, not like a Choppa key spammer. Overall I like the game, you can play for 10 minutes or 10 hours and both will still get you experience movement.
