About GSCH Social Adventures
Over the first 14 years of the Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community, we focused entirely on creating solitary large scale social gaming communities who specialize in holding epic large scale public community events. As time has progressed, the sheer number of multiplayer games being released every year has created an environment where gamers no longer play a single game for years at a time. Today's gamers play dozens of games and public interest changes at the drop of a dime.
This in turn has made it infinitely more difficult to find one game that meets everyone's needs. As players scatter to the four corners of the digital galaxy it becomes increasingly more difficult to keep a community together.
Enter the GSCH Social Adventures. In addition to our main Gaiscioch Chapter (branch) which is focused on Large Scale activities, we now have the ability to smaller scale GSCH Social Adventures (twig). This system allows us to have a much broader reach and allows players to group up together and experience games that Gaiscioch typically would not branch into. Any cooperative game becomes a potential for adventures. This allows us to continue to focus our main chapter on larger targets while allowing members to journey into other worlds and enjoy all the wonders of the gaming world.
While the Gaiscioch brand will continue to target large scale public events, GSCH will focus on creating small friendly environments in various game worlds giving members a true social experience on a smaller scale.
Both adventures and chapters will abide by our credos, however the social adventures will have the freedom to choose how they recruit, foregoing the "recruit by actions" credo of the Gaiscioch chapters. This is largely due to the fact the Social Adventures will not be designed for large scale events which draw heavy recruitment. They will rely on small scale activities to meet and recruit new members.
It is our hope, that by evolving into the ability to support both large scale and small scale environments that we can help maintain the same player base across longer periods of times even as players cross over from game to game. It is our goal to be inclusive to all players through and let them be part of the family wherever life takes them.

Getting Started
Are you ready to join a social adventure? Social Adventures are much like our Gaiscioch chapters except the Leadership & Fellowship system has been replaced with a more streamlined time based event claiming system. Leaders and Followers are awarded the same amount of points in the form of the new Social Points. Social Points are a secondary metric used in calculating your Family Honor Points and Family Vault Credits. Similar to Artisan, Lore and Discovery points, Social Points can be used to fill the secondary point requirements to earn your next rank.
Additionally, you will also gain Game Experience as you participate in more events. As you gain experience you will gain new levels, badges and titles to display on your profile. Show off your expertise in a game with these all new awards.
Social Adventure Types
As we designed this new system one of the important choices we made was to allow players to have the option to choose an official adventure where we have someone in charge of inviting and maintaining a structured community within a game, or choose to venture into a game with some friends for a unstructured gameplay session. We broke this into two types of adventures, Official Adventures and Open Adventures.
Official Adventures
These are carefully selected Official Adventures have the "GSCH" guild formed within. These small to medium sized communities will be featured in our main adventure directory and have their own forum, progression, and awards systems in place. You can gain EXP for playing each of these and unlock special badges on your profile. Official Adventures are split into 3 different tiers.
Grand Adventures
Adventures that have more than 100 active players. These adventures will have expanded forums, calendaring, character lists, and have a spot in our monthly Ceannard Notes for news and updates. In the event that the title was at one point a chapter it will retain its marketplace support.
Epic Adventures
Adventures that have between 25 and 100 active players. These adventures will have forums and calendaring features.
Social Adventures
Micro adventures with between 5 and 25 active players. These will have forums.
Open Adventures
Coming soon, you'll be able to create open adventures. These can be created in you evil laboratory or dreamed up in you brilliant mind. Anything and everything you can think of doing with 4 Gaiscioch members you can claim for social points. From 4-player co-operative console games to MMORPGs, any activity a member can dream of where 3 or more members claim participation will be eligible to earn social point. While these adventures do not have badges, forums, progression, or structure, they will help members build their Social points which will allow them to earn Family Vault Credits to spend in the loot vault. Social points for these adventures will be awarded at half the rate of an official adventure.

The GSCH Credo
While members of GSCH are part of the Gaiscioch Family, they function under a similar credo which allows them the freedom to approach new potential members through private messages and forums to recruit. We ask that all members continue to be a shining example of who we are as a community and welcome new members and allies with open arms.
The GSCH Credo
"I will honor the community by acting in a manner that speaks of our kindness, I will refrain from activities that would dishonor the community, and I will honor the requests of the community elders. I will fight my opponents with honor, giving them a fair fight. I will not spawn camp, grief, cheat, or harass my allies or foes. I will encourage them to fight and win my battles with the highest of honors. I will respect those around me both within the community and outside, I will act in a manner which speaks of our benevolence and kindness, and I will not disrespect the community by engaging in spiteful comments or actions even when provoked. I will hold our community's integrity close to heart and I realize that my actions directly affect that of the whole community. I will say what I do, and do what I say. I will not fall back on promises or make false claims. I will welcome others to the fellowship with open arms and be courteous those who cross our path. I will act in a welcoming way and ensure that those who participate in our events feel welcome whether they are part of the community or not. I will seek out those of shining character and introduce them to our ways, but ultimately they must make the choice to join our family."
Leading an Adventure
You have several ways that you can organize an adventure. You can use the Event system to create a scheduled event or you can just run it as a pickup event.
Once you begin your event you will go to the Leadership console and click GSCH Adventure. This will bring you to the Leadership Console for GSCH Adventures.
Select your game from the Game list or choose Open Adventure.
Next just claim the amount of time you spent on the adventure and click End Event.
Scoring is based on time and participants. Here's the breakdown of how points are awarded.
- 3 Players (1 Less than Requirement): 50% Point Value. 15 Social Points Per Hour
- 4-9 Players (Base Requirement): 100% Point Value: 30 Social Points Per Hour
- 10-19 Players (Bonus Tier 1): 150% Point Value: 45 Social Points Per Hour
- 20+ Players (Bonus Tier 2): 200% Point Value: 60 Social Points Per Hour
Remember: Unless 2 or more people claim your event within 24-hours you event will be removed.
Participating in an Adventure
For each activity you participate in, you will need to enter a short 6 digit code within 24 hours of the event. Once 3 members have claimed the event and 24 hours has passed the points will be awarded to your account. Activities that were not claimed by at least 3 people after 24 hours will be removed and no points will be awarded.
Level Up In GSCH Adventures
One of the fun bonuses to GSCH Adventures is the ability to gain levels in each game you play. These levels unlock new cosmetic titles and badges you can display with pride on your profile.
A System Built on Honor & Integrity
The very core of our family's values are Honor, Respect, Fellowship, and Integrity. This system is an extension of trust to our members and it is only because I feel they are honorable enough and act with integrity that we have opened this up for many on the fly adventures without governance.
That said, all official adventures will be operated under the Gaiscioch Credos and Code of Conduct. Any violation of these guidelines will result in disciplinary action which may include removal from the community. We take the reputation of both Gaiscioch and GSCH very seriously and anyone acting in a way that is unbecoming of a Gaiscioch will be dismissed.
We need to be a beacon of light in this world shrouded in darkness. Be the honest player who says something and does something. Be the respectful player that treats everyone with kindness. Be true to you word and always follow through with your promises. Most of all protect the kinship we share and do not let harm come to our family. We must be seen as a helpful and caring bunch of people. For this is the Gaiscioch Way.
