Greetings Everyone,
I wanted to give a quick note to let everyone know that we will be returning our events to Tues/Thurs starting next week. My Tues/Thurs are open again and I'd prefer to have our events on nights when I don't need to speak to my Daughter so I don't have to cut them short.
In addition we'll be moving our events around a bit and changing the way we do things.
Tuesday @ 6PM Server Time: PvP Rift Hunt (Rotating Faction)
I want to encourage you all to create a character on each side of the ball. Bring your freshly created lowbie out to our family PvP Rift Hunt. Last night Prissie came out with a level 8 and had a blast. Sure she was targeted occassionally but it seems the reward wasn't so great as they left her alone most of the night. I really want to turn this event into the one night a week we get both sides of the house in the same room together and fight along side our brothers and sisters regardless of the side.
The rumor mill speaks of a 3rd faction of united guardians and defiants that want to restore peace to Telara that we'll be able to "Opt-In" to. This faction will be at war with both sides but will possess people from both sides. (Theoretically). We'll have to see how it all pans out and how much of it is Myth or fact but lets keep our fingers crossed. If they do allow us to flip into this new faction we will be moving both sides under 1 roof so that we no longer have a wall between our family.
This event will rotate sides each week. We will not be holding an event for the Off-Side at the same time as we want to encourage everyone to at least create one character on each side to join in the family fun. If PvP's not typically your thing. I'd still suggest coming out. Heck Jexia, Izzy and several others hate pvp with a passion and they keep coming out week after week because PvP with the family sucks less than normal ;). Plus theres some pretty nice gear you can get with Favor that doesn't involve endless raiding.
Thursday @ 6PM Server Time: Telara's Last Stand Zone Invasion Hunt
Over the past few months the Great Conquest event has lost it's luster. Each week population gets less and less and it's to the point where neither side fills up a single raid group unless we run across a zone event. Because of this sadly we will be discontinuing this event.
Instead we'll be running our Fan Favorite Telara's Last Stand Zone Invasion Hunt with an added mix. On our downtime we'll be taking shots at the Baron and Akala, opening expert rifts, and getting waypoints. I'm hoping to turn this event into a mostly high level content event that welcomes lower level's to come along for some exp, coin, and loot.
It's my hope that with the new lineup we'll be able to grow our raid groups and start involving more people in helping run raid groups. We can't really train new people without population.
Oh and BTW, I played with the Tavern a bit this morning. Might act weird, might rock. Only time will tell. Should make things easier for you non-HTML savvy folk.
