So other than being instant death, what is up with these parades?

I logged in the other day for the first time in a long time and wandered right into a parade. Ouch that hurt.

Sorry to hear of your quick demise! Yes, well enemy parades have been a part of the latest week or two of the current world event. Our own faction has them also, and its pretty fun watching the two rumble when they meet head on. Also, if you're traveling in enemy low level territory, DO stay off the roads. They've been taken over by patrols, some of which have an uber amount of leetness! >.< A lot of them also get you flagged if there is any interaction with 'em. In your faction's main city, there's a carnival set up, with games where you can earn even currencies, There are quests to complete to get 'dubloons' which are used to buy the sleek new event mounts, as well. The glass beads can be turned in to the 'moneychanger' npc at the carnival in exchange for ANY previous world event currency so we can benefit from the goodies from those previous events. So ride over to the permanent World Event merchant and take note of how much of each currency you need to get whatever items you may want, and then get busy earning beads and tickets! :)

We brought down a parade that got in the path of our source-stone runners last night, so take heart that vengeance was had :p

I was wondering if those parades were taken down. I am only 42 so wasnt sure.
