Hey fellow Guildies – First I’d like to introduce myself. Ingame my name is Mumpy, In Real Life, everyone calls me Mumpy. Makes it easy for me, lol. I’m 45 yrs of Age, Retired Airborne Ranger and currently work as an IT Specialist for an Investment Company. I’ve just begun my MBA so my time in game is somewhat limited. I took about a 6 month break from the game. In which time I completed a Semester of College and spent time with the Family.
Prior to RIFT I played WoW ever since it began and that is where I learned and loved to play the Role of Tank. I don’t mind Off Tanking, matter of fact I almost prefer it, I like to learn from others.
My current gear is T1 Quality although I have the Toughness to enter T2 Dungeons, I’m not comfortable there. Anyway, to get to the point of why I’m writing this.
I want to become a better player. I want to learn better techniques, I want to learn the dungeons, I want better gear. To do this I need to run Dungeons, I need to Off Tank, I need to Tank. Since I returned I noticed that it absolutely takes forever to enter a Random Dungeon as a DPS Role. I was attempting to enter the Dungeons as a DPS Role so I could learn the fights from Other Tanks. Sadly this isn’t happening because of the time it takes for the Random to start when I go as DPS. This is why I’m writing this post.
I am looking for a few people that are like me or would like to run a Random Dungeon each night for an hour or so. I would go as Tank and if I could get someone to go as a Healer I’m sure we’d begin our Dungeon quite fast. We could text each other during the day or coordinate the night before on what Dungeon we would do the following night. I would then read and study that dungeon strategy while at work and hopefully we would be successful that night.
So, is there anyone out there that would like to join me? Even an Alt Character would be good, especially if you have the Knowledge of the place.
