Before I sign up, I could not stand the interface of the last Star Wars MMORPG or KOTR, where you would queue up your moves and they would go off over time.
Is this game like that or the more standard interface of no queue, each action happens when you hit the key?
If you have played Wow or Rift, the interface is pretty much the same. There is an action queue but it is in real time and you can switch it off if you want to. (Same as Rift). You can hotkey everything and there are customisable options. The only thing missing is target of target which drives me nuts... You also can't move stuff around the screen like you can in Rift. The game is basically wow with light sabres, so if you are used to that UI, you will be fine :)
TOR's UI drives me batty.
I agree it is a tad annoying, everything is just in the wrong place and the bottom action bar is toooo freaking big. Gameplay is awesome but the UI will take some getting used to.
