Lesson's GSB Feedback Post

Ok, the purpose of this post is to share feedback on our GSB run. I hope that we can all share strategy on how the best way to move forward and to down the second boss.

For this boss there is a couple strategy's that people have tried and after speaking to the raid leader of our GSB run I have talked to him about an alternate strategy that he has not tried. This Strategy is for Johlen. First we start off by spreading the ranged and healers out around the room away from the Melee and tanks, doing this makes it so the Minimum amount of people must move during the Pushing Bombs. The Ranged Rogues in the fight will need to spam there AOE ability's during these bombs to blow them up as soon as possible to reduce the chances of the bombs to blow people across the room and into the whisps. The healers will be in place for the remainder of the fight and will not need to move through any phase except to move out of the bombs, when moving out of the bombs they will move back torward the tree. If positioned just right (though i do not suggest using this unless you just do not get out of the bomb in time) you should be blown up against the tree instead of into the whisps on the outside of the room. During Phase 1 to 3 the ranged will just need to move away from the bombs then back into there designated places. During the blinding bombs the ranged only need to turn around in a 180 degree to keep from getting blinded during this fight. The healers can actually face the tree the entire fight to avoid looking into the bombs and can heal targets behind them throughout the fight. I have drawn out a map of the fight to give you a Rough understanding on where to place everyone during this fight for Phase 1 through 3 Just in case that code does not work you can look by going to this website. http://i465.photobucket.com/albums/rr17/madnesstrainner/Phase1to3.png Phase 4 Phase 4 is the hardest phase, though do not let it get you down if you fail this phase as it is in my opinion the hardest part of GSB. During Phase 4 there will be 4 selected DPS who will go stack on a spacific assigned healer. These ranged DPS will be picked before the fight and will be the highest ranged DPS of the raid group. The rest of the Ranged DPS will then move into the middle of the room and stack on TOP of the tank and form a mutant monster that will then start to destroy the boss. Doing this will make it easier to deal with the bombs that Johlen places out for the remainder of the fight. The Boss will be positioned in the direct center of the room and the melee dps and tank will hop from one side of the boss to the other in order to avoid the bombs. During this time be careful not to travel to far out and get run over by the whisps. The Ranged that were selected before will now start doing the same as the healers that are positioned around the Trees and will stack directly on top of the healer. If a bomb drops on one of the healers the healer and the ranged DPS will run torward there tree to avoid the bomb as the healer did before. Keep in mind Try not to touch the tree during this phase and I only say that from something I seem to call from hearing in the past. Still make sure you try not to get blinded by the Blinding Bombs during this Phase and burn the boss down as quickly as possible. This part of the fight usually turns into downing the boss before to many DPS and healers make to many mistakes and get themselves killed so at this point if you have any cooldowns left use them. I definitely think we need to try having folks spread out at the trees. I have heard several differing opinions as to whether or not it is good to AE the bombs, but I'm willing to try whatever we have to do to get this dungeon down. Lets point folks to this post to get ready for Wednesday.
