Hi all,

Good to be here, thanks to all the Nimuites who found me stumbling around Hibernia… again.

Call me Ernie, that’s the handle most of the old guard remember me as anyway. My Primary game is DAoC (no interest in RIFT or GW2 yet, sorry) and that is where you will find me. Ernathenriar (the full name) is currently parked in Wilton with his XP off until he completes each RvR title quest for the BGs. Killaloe, Thidranki, and Braemar are all set, and so far Braemar was the worst. It took me a week to get the necessary RPs. Wilton may be rougher, so when some of you lot graduate from Braemar, I will most likely still be parked in the zone.

So who the hell is Ernathenriar the Manslayer?

Ernie is originally Clann Siog, but after the Veil Fiasco, unable to make contact with those trapped between here and the Otherworld, he resigned himself to an eternity trapped in this world. He marched with the Roman Legions, he even reached out to the Svartalfir (that did not go well). After his walkabout he came home to Hibernia changed. He admired the Roman efficiency in troop formation and management and intended to bring that with him. Queen Cliodhna would hear nothing of his designs however, so he instead approached Fagan.

There was little love between Fagan and Ernie, but with Albion and Midgard on the march focused square on Emain Macha, this was no time for squabbles. An audience was arranged with Lugh and a pact was made. Ernathenriar was made Commander of the Hart Bow, an order built on the discipline of the Romans, and Archers of all kinds were welcomed in its ranks. A small Chapterhouse was formed named the Rangers Retreat, a simple cottage all Rangers could call home. Only once was a Druid permitted inside for a Blessing, but since that day, only Rangers and Bards have darkened its door. You HAVE to let the Bard in, it would be ill luck to deny them hospitality. Just ask Bres.

Whether operating in teams, or singly contracting out to larger Units, the Hart Bow quietly did its work. Ernathenriar in his time received appointments and commissions within Retribution, Companas Torc, and other smaller units. Then the Celts made an astonishing discovery that drove Ernie deep into the woods for a long time: Atlantis was found, and the shakeup was tangible. The conflicts, the squabbling for artifacts of such power that the face of the realm itself changed in an astonishingly short period of time, one by one the companions of The Hart Bow, even his trusted Lieutenant Mithneth, faded into memory, and again Ernathenriar found himself alone. Such is the life of an immortal Sidhe dealing with very mortal creatures.

Time passed. The Rangers Retreat crumbled into ruin, the frontiers shifted and heaved, technologies advanced, Artifacts were deciphered, the Veil was rent open (!), Catacombs were opened… but Ernathenriar was nowhere to be seen. Until now.

Once the Dragonsworn were dealt with things started to settle into complacency in Hibernia. Tertiary battlegrounds were filled with skirmishes, equipment forged for even the greenest of warriors surpassed the workmanship of the Shar, and bounties increased across the realm. The war was getting serious, and it created opportunities. Ernathenriar returned to Cullen and presented his ideas to the Queen. The Siabra would need a Diplomat in times ahead…
