This week in the Public Test Shard - 1/4 November
Ember Isle; home of the Kelari, Prison of the Flamesire, and the resting place of Heroes of old.
With 1.6 around the corner and the unveiling of Ember Isle, Cadeceus Rise, and Rise of the Phoenix, one should find themselves already salivating, but that's only the tip of the iceberg.
In Patch 1.6 every calling is seeing a major change (or two) in their classes. Now I know the title is a little ambiguous, but I felt it was rather fitting for the whirlwind strike Trion Worlds has dropped on us.
I'll start this segment by visiting probably the most changed calling, Warriors.
Slicing into the "my tank is better than your tank" issue, Trion took the opportunity to rebalance tanking souls for the Warrior Calling. Attempting to find a balance for all four souls was likely difficult, but I feel it was well executed.
To begin, Gift of the
In 1.6, this amount was increased to 0.74%. Additionally, for every point invested in a soul (deep enough to gain the Gift) the warrior recieves 0.30% less physical damage and 0.38% less non-physical damage. Doing the math that equates to 20 and 25% reductions respecively (at lvl 50).
As I don't play a Warrior (often) I don't have much to shine on any of these changes, though I do feel this is a substantial buff; as for the sight of warriors on the PTS ranging in the 17,000 - 19,000 health range.
I'll finish this post when I have more time and less sleep to be had.
