Crifting Questions

I have heard the following assumptions re crifting runs. Are they true?

The amount of loot you get doesn't depend on your contribution as long as you contribute something.

You receive the same amount of loot regardless of whether or not you opened the rift with your lure.

You receive the same amount of loot regardless of whether or not you are trained in the type of craft for the rift.

Are all of these things true?

yes, you only have to hit a mob once, or put a debuff on them to get full credit. Hitting them repeatedly does not give you more loot. Key clicks are not counted, etc. Not in crafting rifts. We have tested it many many many times while crifting. This is why we say, low dps, no aoe's or pets. Our lowbies need to be able to hit at least one mob to get credit. =) Opening the rift does nothing for you, it just opens it, no more loot, no better loot, no better chance at loot. Yes, you will receive whatever the lure type is in loot. You do not have to be trained in any craft to get crafting mats off a crafting rift.

Do your rewards scale with how many mobs you hit?

To add to what Abbi has said You need to only hit one mob per round. That means once you hit one stop dpsing, turn around if your using a bow ect. The loot is the same whether you hit one mob per round or alot of them. As we run them as a raid its asked that you do low dps and one mob per round. Some types have very few mobs. We also have the far side of every rift designated for the low levels. Do not pull or hit the mob their tank has for them so they also can get a hit in. Loot does not scale by damage. The level loot is from a rift depends on the zone you do the rift in. If you open one in Silverwood you will get low level mats. We choose to them in Shimmersand because its the best area for high level mats from rifts. I have been running crifting raids for months and I ask that people follow the rules for them. There are many times I am dealing with people not following directions, needing invites, and we get alot of outsiders that tag along and cause occasional grief. Do the leaders a favor, save us some headaches and read the rules posted here on the forums almost all leaders follow the exact same ones. Have vent available and be on it, just like everyone else the leaders need to get hits in and if they constantly are typing or having to speak to someone about the actions it makes it harder for them. I love taking a raid(s) out crifting. I enjoy hanging with my fellow guildies and getting to meet new members through it.I have been told lately that its the most organized chaos a person has ever seen that works. We as the leaders have the option to kick people from our raids and to go to Fog as to why we did so. So remember to be courteous at all times to your fellow guildies and to the outsiders who join us. Follow the rules the leader sets in place for they can vary by leader. If your not sure about a policy speak up and ask for your likely not the only one wondering. Vent is pretty much required for Rshiel's raids due to running between 3 and 5 full raid groups. I ask that you show respect to each memeber by not talking or yelling over them. These events usually last 6 to 8 hours and you will get a chance to talk more than likely. I do not mind if you chose not to talk or cannot talk but please be able to listen to directions on vent. As always if I am in game I am happy to answer any questions I can. I don't bite much honestly. Please feel free to send me a tell with any questions you may have whether its on crifting or anything else. Sincerely, Rshiel/kiriania/Kylees/Zylona Ciandra the lone defiant

one note: you have to be of lvl 300 in a craft to get the chance for a craftsman mark. so that's the only loot that is dependent on you having that craft. :). and you don't need to be lvl 50 toon - just 300 in that craft.
