Marketplace, Burning Powerstone.

I have enjoyed using the marketplace for contributing and obtaining various items from crafting mats to gear itself.
As of late my primary use has been for raid consumables until recently everything I use has been available. But starting a week or so ago the main item, Burning Powerstone (+200sp) has been missing. As with all the potions and consumables I order this item was filled very quickly. I was wondering if and why this great item has been removed, ty!

Although I can see there are currently 2 requests for these, I am unable to request them myself.

I was also trying to order Burning Powerstone and Burning Manastone and can't find either one on the list to request. It seems like the entries for them have been deleted from the database.

I have removed all of these for the time being until i can accurately put a cost / reward structure together for them. These items require the production of other items to salvage to get the resources to make them. Being the salvaging process can net 1 - 5 of an item the cost widely varies on these items and It is very difficult to estimate the appropriate costs. These item's made it into the system before they were ready and have been allowing people to purchase them at a cost that was way too inexpensive for the cost required to produce them. Once I have a chance to sit down and find averages for all of these I'll readd them but for now they are staying offline.

All varieties of Weaponstones, Witchstones, Manastones are also made by creating items, salvaging them, and then using the salvaged product to produce them. You may want to remove those as well if you are going to re-evaluate this stuff. Nearly all of the Raid style consumables are created this way.

As quick as the orders were being filled by the crafters I'm assuming the cost/reward was acceptable for them.

The reward for crafting them was very imbalanced compared to the mats involved to make them. I crafted dozens of them for people at a loss because they filled a need to help the family progress through content, not because the reward was acceptable or not. Thanks for evaluating the cost/reward for them Fog.

Cchar, you may not like my descision but I wouldn't have even known they were there if I wasn't getting flooded with complaints about it. I don't make decisions like this unless there's a good reason. Until those prices are reevaluated there not going anywhere. I'm sorry. Foghladha

While the burning powerstones/manastones are off the list, if people send me mats for them I will continue to craft them for you. On guardian side, send carmintium bars and brilliant diamonds to Caeia. I can also make them on defiant side on Cassa, but since I don't log in there very often I would need you to get someone to in-game mail Caeia on G-side so I know you are waiting for me. As Fog mentioned, these consumables are obtained by breaking down crafted items, so it is not easy to estimate the amount of mats you need for a given number of consumables. It would probably be best if you sent the mats in sets of 10 or 20. So, 10 carmintium bars and 10 brilliant diamonds -- or 20 carmintium bars and 20 brilliant diamonds.

That is good to know. I was always a bit curious as to why those were so cheap considering how useful they were. Thanks for the reply so at least we know it wasn't a bug. I'm going to look tonight and start seeing what kinds of mats those take and I'll be saving them up so I can send em to my crafters who make them for us. Now that I have gotten used to using them in dungeons and raids I don't want to do without them. Thanks,

Yeah I told the original crew that added 90% of the database that those were not to be added because of the unpredictability of cost to make. Those going in the system at the cost of a level 1 green item when it takes the breaking of 5 - 10 level 45+ items to make was not as intended.

I understand the decision and was just looking for information on if/why they were removed . Thanks for taking time for providing clarity on the matter. Until they are reevaluated I will look to provide crafters with the mats to make them. ty.

What can I do if I have 750 credits and the 3 consumables I use are removed from the marketplace?

Fog, Have you considered something like an auction house? So you still use the same credits but alter the system in such a way that people can post what they are willing to make and for how much. You could also have a request board like we do now where people request items and specify what they are willing to pay. This way you would not need to decide what something is worth but rather the market could. The downsides to this are the same downsides as free market capitalism where an item can get very expensive. However, we can get a similar problem with the current system where items can get over or under valued, especially given how prices tend to fluctuate.

DC, you can still use your credits to order the raw materials through the marketplace. With our very large family I'm sure you can find someone who is willing to craft them for you if you provide the mats.
