Marketplace Order Gone Missing

Has anyone else had this happen?

I put in a request for an infinite essence and tempered orichalcum bar. Over the weekend my order for the ore was filled. At about the same time I noticed that my order for the essence disappeared from my requested order list.

I had to resubmit my order for the essence and I'm not certain if I received back the cost I paid.

Does this happen if someone picks up the order then cancels? I never received an e-mail that the essence order was picked up though.

Someone else also mentioned to me recently that something similar happened to them also.

I've had this happen once. It was on a small item so I didn't mention it to anyone when it happened. I never received an email about anyone accepting or filling the order for it -- it just disappeared. When someone picks up the order and then cancels, you receive an email saying they claimed it. You do not receive one saying they cancelled. I have no idea how an order can disappear from the list or if the honor points are credited. Sorry I can't be of much help, but I wanted to let you know that it wasn't just you.

It's very possible it got sent to the wrong person with so many people in the guild and the fact that mail tries to autocomplete names to friends or guild members. I've had this happen a few times with sending mail to an alt, and as it may be a character that never logs on, you won't get the mail back (and possibly won't realise anything went wrong) until a month has elapsed. I think mistaken identity is more likely than website problem. So easy to do with so many names to autocomplete to in the guild.

Very possible Lumenbarba, but I normally receive an e-mail when an item has been picked up and another when it was sent. This did not happen in this instance.

It's probably me that getting senile, but just before I left the game I filled a bunch of orders, and I am still sure that I claimed 2 orders of steel stitched leather and few other, but when I went to process it, one of the leathers was gone. I rechecked the order list and it was gone there too, but I just figured someone else clicked the button just before me. Probably nothing, but wanted to give my experience on this matter.

If a person does not click "Sent" it gets bounced back to the list after 14 days. If you don't recieve mails it's because you use a microsoft based email account and they thing everything we send EXCEPT for our newsletter is spam. Go figure. :) Also when I make wide spread changes I clear out all current orders before making the change to avoid exploits. I haven't done one of those lately though.

I just assumed if I clicked saying I would fill an order and later figured out I couldn't and canceled it the order would appear back on the list just as before. I have had to cancel one order before as I thought I had the materials but I ended up not having them. Sorry to whoever that was!! I hope you didn't end up wondering what was happening!

When you click "Cancel Claim" it goes back into the system to be claimed again. What did you claim and not have it go back?
