With the introduction of Add-Ons in 1.5, we now have additional options when it comes to customizing our UI. I always have a singular goal in mind when I make changes to my UI - to streamline the interface so I can focus on fight mechanics and not get distracted by information overload. I am not a fan of gimmicky mods that attempt to play the game for you - in fact, you can see from my keybinds that I do not use many macros. Going forward, I will show a definite bias towards minimalist mods.

I will update this thread as new mods are released. Of course, your tips are welcome as well!

1. The most important change you can make is to enlarge your notification window. As you can see, the message on my screen is H-U-G-E. To change the setting, go to your Main Menu -> Edit Layout -> Click on Notification Window -> Set Scale to (Something Big). Hopefully, this will keep you from blowing up the raid when Oracle Aleria casts Necrotic Energy on you.

2. If you feel like your screen is too cluttered, you might consider adjusting 2 settings:

a. Turn off other players' spell effects by checking "Hide Other Players' Hit FX" in the Main Menu -> Settings -> Interface -> Combat Panel

b. Turn off other players' names by unchecking "Show Raid Member Names" in the Main Menu -> Settings -> Interface -> Names Panel. The fellow raiders that you need to pay attention to will most likely be marked by your raid leader.

3. I've had this mod on my wish list since I started playing the game. It's called Target Cast Bar and you can find it here: Target Cast Bar Previously, I used to enlarge the entire target panel so I could see the little cast bar. This mod lets you resize and position the (chosen) target's cast bar. This mod is absolutely essential if you are assigned the job of interrupting certain casts. It is also very useful for raid members to keep up with fight mechanics.

4. There is a project under development called MinUI. At this time, it is too bare to recommend but I will be keeping an eye on it.

Please share any tips you might have that will result in a cleaner, more efficient UI. Thanks for reading!
