Please help with build suggestions - Necro / Chloro

Hi everyone! I am new to the family (been here like 4 days) and I have to say I am very very impressed with the guild/website/everything. The level of comraderie is incredible. I have run many guilds in my time and a few large ones (in Shadowbane and LOTRO), but this one is the most organized I have ever seen.

Being that I am new to the game I could really use some help with my build. I was searching around on the web and there is a build that I found that seemed really good. What I'm going for is a primary damager do'er character that can self sustain himself and/or provide support. I hate running from battles so that is why I picked Chloro. So far my character can do pretty good damage and keep himself alive with heals.

Oh and FYI - I was thinking about switching Ele for Dominator for the damage shield like that the 1st build link, but I wasn't sure. What do you think?

P.S.: Are there martial arts/hand to hand type characters in this game? Just curious as I was reading around and doesn't look like it.

My favorite solo build for a mage is still: necro/lock/chloro Warlock (13) / Necromancer (16) / Chloromancer (0) - where my points were at around your level I've tried almost every other build out there (pyro/ele/chloro was good) but the thing I love most about necro/lock is the zero down time. In truth I kind of ignored chloro until higher levels, once I got everything out of the necro/lock tree I could. Here's what I consider the perks: 1) Opportunity (lock tree)- love my instacast bolts and this proc's a lot 2) Soul Purge (necro tree) - the greatest spell in the game IMO. Hurts the mob, heals you and your pet... this is how I finish almost every fight at full health 3) Reclaim Power (necro tree) - it's not just a pet tank or dps this makes your little pal your mana battery, add this to soul purge and you need not bother with drinks 4) Chloro up to bloom is vital, the ability to heal yourself (beyond the drains) has saved my butt a lot. The downside is that you don't have the BLAMMO pyro damage and you'll want a more group friendly build when grouping, but the damage is good and like I said the zero downtime is well worth it for my play style. If you have ?? in game, shoot me a tell I'm usually around, just yell for Z. :)

Do you get respecs at any point? I used one respec when I was really low level (like level 8 or 10 - I had no clue what I was doing) and I will be level 20 once the servers come back up. Necromancer (32) / Warlock (18) / Chloromancer (16) - Is it worth sacrificing 4 points from the Warlock to increase Chloro for the res at 20? or probably not due to loss in damage? I like this one the most as I really enjoy having the necro pet.

So would you say that the Necromancer (16) / Warlock (34) / Chloromancer (16) be better for PvP? Way I see it is that this build gets the Tank pet so it should be fairly decent at PvE. I do plan on PvPing with my character that is why I am asking.

I would check out this site http://bluedots.org/ For pvp I like 44 Warlock/ 7 Necromancer / 15 Archmage This was my pvp spec when I was Difiant. It has great survivability.
