Did I miss something .. new rewards?
Veteran Rewards <---Clicky!
I guess everyone will be able to wear plate in their wardrobes now...

Not wanting to sound ungrateful, but I hope there will be more options for the armor than just plate. As an RPer, those rewards are useless for 5 of my 6 characters and not worth the bank space to store them.
Mobile mailbox is nice and what I have been looking for but 18 months? ouch. I take it the date is retro to when people started to play?
I'll be surprised if the wardrobe armor isn't tailored for each class. If it's just plate for everyone then doesn't that mean that in PvP you won't be able to tell an opponent's class by their look? Which, I'm told by Trion, is the entire reason why as a cleric I cannot put plate in my wardrobe now.
The armor rewards are not random plate pieces, they are guard costumes. So I don't think there will be other armor types for other classes, as all the guards wear the same outfit.
As of the next patch your wardrobe items will not be viewable to the opposite faction. This is highly annoying as my gear looks atrocious, which is the whole reason I spent the effort to collect a nice wardrobe.

If the wardrobe isn't viewable by the opposite faction, then is it possible that they're going to lift the restrictions on what you can wear in the wardrobe slots?
The wardrobe change to faction only has been reversed

Sooooooo, does this mean that I, being a leather wearer can now wear cloth or plate items in my wardrobe? If so, I'll be a happy camper. I have some really cool cloth items I'd like to wear with the rest of my gear. Or... (I really hate this "or") will the plate items from veteran rewards be the only exception to the rule?
It's a costume, not an armour type. In the same fashion that the Shimmersand outfit is cloth, or the Iron Pine Peaks is furs/leather. Same as now you can put any costume or armour that is of your class's specific type in a costume slot.
*happydance* that the opposite faction will continue to gaze upon my beautiful wardrobe and not the rags I'm wearing underneath!
I guess here is what I find silly... and don't get me wrong I get the difference between and armor types and a costume piece... is that really we're getting lost in a naming convention with those terms. As a cleric I can wear chain, leather, or cloth armor. When it comes to a wardrobe however, I can ONLY use chain. When I inquired with Trion about this, it was explained to me that they did this so that in PvP my class would be obvious to other players unless I was willing to take a hit to my armor rating by actually wearing leather or cloth. Now enter "costumes", which LOOK like armor types but really aren't, at least by classification. (This getting silly yet?) I CAN wear costume pieces that break Trion's own PvP wardrobe rule in spirit - meaning, costume pieces can allow me to mask my class without penalty. I simply would like to see Trion allow us to wear in our wardrobe slots the same armor types we can wear in our armor slots. (i.e. as a cleric I could put chain, leather, or cloth in my wardrobe.) It is uber important to me? No, and in fact I just gave this topic more effort than it deserves. =P
