Need Mouse Suggestions - mine is dying and discontinued

I've been using a trackball for 10+ years now, but it's long since discontinued. I've purchased a couple from eBay but as the years go by the cost goes up. I'm thinking of trying something new and I hope you gaming gurus can give me some suggestions.

This is what I've been using.

What I'm looking for is a great non-trackball. What have you got?

Logitech G700 is my next mouse as soon as the financial department approves the new rodent, the last rodent was a hamster and it only squeaks and bites during raids (but at least it's wireless)

If you're still wanting to stick with a trackball mouse, Logitech has 3 that are fairly inexpensive. Logitech Trackball Thoughts of Missle Command flood my mind when I think of Trackballs... ugh Anyways..where was I? Oh yes, I use the Logitech G9x mouse. Really nice, you can customize it to fit your gaming style. Overall a nice mouse for the price. Logitech G9x Mouse

I bought this: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-pointers/trackballs/devices/7365 I have the same preference for the thumb track ball, though Best Buy did charge me almost 50$, my previous mouse was thoroughly worn out. its also wireless and I have yet to replace the battery, (had for a few months now). Good Luck!

Mellonde and I both have the Logitech G700 gaming mouse, it's very responsive and also has 4 buttons that are easily in thumb reach which can be mapped to the action bars in Rift. Only thing we haven't really liked is the battery is charge by a cord vs our previous Logitech G7's which had removable battery. It also has sometimes lost signal but we don't know why, but comes back.

The Razer Naga Molten is the one I've been giving some real thought to is which I think puts me squarely in the realm of the ultra-dork. Dude, it friggen glows in the dark! "17 Fully-programmable MMO-optimized buttons (including 12 button thumb grid)" may just have me sold. I've really liked having my vent button mapped to one of the 5 keyboard buttons I have atm, the ability to program 12 macros to buttons on my mouse is really exciting me!

I highly recommend Gigabytes mouse range for being extremely cheap for a great quality gaming mouse.

sheesh I just miss my mini mouse I had for my old laptop .. It alternated different glowing colors and was ultra disco cool, but discontinued too heh! Been thinking about one with buttons on it for one of my desktops, but when I am programming would likely want to use a different mouse and to me that is a hassle. Any programmers using any of these gaming mice for IRL applications and do you have issues with them? (and I mean the buttons on the side) PS i was extremely peeved when at best buy you cannot find a wired mouse anywhere. It makes perfect sense for desktop pc's and my old school thinking, BUT NOOOOO. Thank god my dad gave me a bunch of flashlights for Christmas (for some unknown reason like his watch fettish, he keeps trying to by me expnesive ones and I am quite happy with my waterproof timex with velcro straps and stopwatch, practical, functional and black goes with everything heh!) So anyway now I have tons of batteries, which I have been forced to use in a wireless mouse for my laptop cause he also gave me a 24 pack of those and was quite pleased with himself! The funny thing is I have no clue where I put half those flashlights, but I do know where the batteries are!. Want to trade 20 double A batteries on guardian side for a mouse with a wire on defiant

I've got the Dell that came with my retired computer, in beautiful condition and with the loveliest black wire (no animal or husband chew marks) complete with USB attachment if you're interested... but wait there's more! for a limited time I am willing to offer a mousepad with the Dell logo on it. You know how collectible corporate logos are. NOW how much would you pay?

For me, there's no room for wireless mice/keyboards in gaming. We used to wipe at least once a week while raiding in EQ2 because someone's mouse or keyboard batteries died. I recommend Razer all teh way. For mice my preference is simplicity, thus I have the Razer Death Adder. It's a high quality, 5 button mouse that is very accurate and extremely tough. I think I picked it up for $50. We do have a guild member using the Naga MMO and he loves it. He's a DPS warrior and he mapped most of his combos to the thumb pad. He claims is upped his DPS by 20% or so. To me the Naga MMO looks like a major thumb cramp torture device!
