New raid group looking to form for 10 and 20 man content! See inside for info!

Hey Guys! Ray here! I know you missed me!!

So after spending some time in a few different raiding guilds, I realized how much I miss my family here in Gaiscioch!

After all this time I realized if I need a raid group for a specific time, I could just set one up myself in guild!

I know your scratching your head and wondering "Another raid group?! But we already have a few! Why a new one?!"

Well let me answer your question. We have A LOT of members, and some of them can't make the raids that are currently scheduled. Sometimes there isn't enough room in these raids. So I have decided to set up another raid group that caters to a little bit of a later crowd.

I would like to set up a group to raid Wed - Fri. 9pm Server until 12am Server, with a day of clean up on Sunday at 8pm Server until 11pm server.

We will be doing both 10 and 20 man content, depending on how many sign ups we have each week. I would like to set up a solid core group who will be consistent with raiding and will show up on time and ready.

I understand we have etiquette in place for the guild and this will be in place as well for these raids.

While we are learning and progressing I expect people to show up on time and be considerate of one another on vent. Please show your raid leader respect and don't talk over them on vent. If they ask you to please stop talking while they are explaining a strategy for a boss or just setting up healers for tanks, please be respectful and hold your words until it is okay to play around.

I am also looking into a loot system for these raids. Currently it will be a loot council type system without the loot council. This meaning the raid leader will link the current piece of loot. You will then link you item that you want to replace with that piece of loot. It will be MS > OS. We will be giving the upgrade to those that need it most. The reason being for this is to gear everyone out equally and fairly so that we can have a solid amount of progression without unbalancing the group too much. Everyone wants to see new content and the only way we will be able to do this is if everyone is geared enough for the content we will be up against. I know you're thinking, "But what about those who don't show up to every raid?" We will handle this by also giving out attendance points. Attendance points will be updated every raid. The more you show up, the higher your loot priority will be. This is to keep it fair for those who do show up every week and to help develop a core of raiders for this group. This does not mean that you will not get loot if you don't show up every week. This will be handled completely fair and no one will be showed favortism. Not even me... (though I really want a new bow) =(

You will be expected to have the appropriate hit/focus/toughness level for the raids we will be doing. This means you should have 200 + hit, focus, or toughness for the raids we will be focusing on at this point which will be GSB, DH, and GP. We will also going into ROS to clear foci, as well as attempt bosses but it is a bit more advanced than the other raids, and attention will be required to successfully down things.

The current raid schedule is looking to be:
GSB - Weds and Thurs 9pm server until 12 am server
DH and GP - Thurs if GSB is cleared and Fri 9pm server until 12 am server.
Sunday will be for clean up I.E. trying our hand at bosses who we hit a wall with as well as clearing out easier content we didn't get to on previous days. This will be from 8pm server until 11pm server.

Once we have enough people geared up and ready to go we will be clearing RoS and moving on to HK. Keep in mind we will be a bit behind other groups, so our progression might not happen as quickly unless we manage to get super well geared players right off the bat. I am not holding my breath at this one as I want to give everyone a fair chance to raid.

To apply to become part of this raid group all you need to do is post below letting me know you are interested in joining the group. I will then ask you kindly in game to allow me to inspect you and make sure your gear is of an appropriate level for raiding. This is not to say that you won't be able to come to the raid. I just need to ensure that your gear is going to up to par for the content we are facing.

So feel free to sign up or message me in game if your interested in joining the raid group! I will be updating the roster on the site here to let people know who will be coming as well as standby's. Once we get a group running I will create a new thread for updating attendance points as well as keeping the roster updated each week as to who will be attending. Sorry for the super long post but I want to ensure the best raiding experience for those who join with this group for raiding fun!

Howdy Rayvana, I'm relatively new to the guild and definitely new to raiding in Rift. I have done a few GSB runs (with little success) and Drowned Halls (also with limited success). I'm a cleric with DPS Tank and Heal builds and have SP @ 1000+ Focus at 100+ and climbing. I'd definitely be interested in the raid group. Look forward to talking with ya more about it. Lesson

Good luck Rayvana. We did the same thing a while back with a GP/DH group and it is now well established and has 8 bosses on farm accross the 2 10 man raids. There are more than enough people in the guild wanting to raid :)

Side note: For those wondering why Fridays is ten man day, it's because I know we have people that like to go out on the weekends and I don't want to kill your fun. Please list if you would be able to attend on Fridays or not. That way I can see who will be likely for ten man groups =)

I'm encouraged to see this post. One of the reasons I left the game was that my West Coast schedule doesn't work with many raid groups. I got bored once I hit 50. I was considering resubbing next week to check the current state of the game, so I'll keep an eye on how this develops. Obviously, I'm not asking for a spot on the roster yet, just voicing my support and possible future pew pew/heals.

Hey Rayvana, Wulfiene here. I'm definitely interested in joining the Raid group. My gear is adequate, though not stellar. Unbuffed, stats are currently as follows: Int - 457 SP - 843 SC - 647 Focus - 257 I'm working on getting some of the Tormentor's Battlegear made, but don't have any yet. Once I do, that should push my stats up considerably. Listed in order of my strength w/ them, my roles are: Storm (32)/Elem (34)/Arch (0) Chloro (51)/Dom (15)/Arch (0) Lock (38)/Dom (28)/Arch (0) I can DPS or support heal, so please put me down for both. 9pm-12am PST works great for me. I just re-looked at the times you are talking about and I had my math confused. I live in central time zone so the times you have listed (if I am seeing this correctly) are actually from 11pm to 2am and I can't commit to that. I get up at 6am for work and there is no way I can promise to be online like that on Wed. and Thursday night. Well I can help out with healing on your Friday nights (your times are 2PM for me so I'm at work other times). I heal and have ~1300 SP and 570 Wisdom unbuffed. Completed GSB and pugged Drowned Halls successfully as well. Not part of any raid teams - either they don't run on my times or they are full on healers (and while I have a DPS set I quite dislike it :-)). Happy to sub in as required (as I am pretty much any raid group :-)).

Bumping in hopes of more sign-ups. Come on guys it'll be fun I promise =)

I am normally traveling Monday through Wednesday. I raid Thursday and Friday night with a WoW group I have been with for years. I am looking to raid on the weekends and would love to help out on Sundays. The progression nights are the most fun for me, but sadly not others, so you may be short folks on Sunday. I am not a big on signing up for raids. Not because I do not believe in it, rather until recently I have not had the extra time to commit. Now that has changed and I find that my Fridays and Sundays are open, Wed. not so much. I have healed in GSB,ROS,HK. I am strong on Direct tank heals and Raid heals, I can dps if called upon. Hey guys sorry I haven't been on all week. I had a family emergency back home that I had to attend to. We will be looking to put this together starting next Wednesday. excellent run! we only had the people for a 10 man, but we cleared DH quite succesfully. I main tanked and we STILL pretty much one or two shotted stuff. :) thanks for having me!

I am interested in raiding. I live in Hawaii which is -3 off server time. I am usually on 0930 server for a serveral hours most evenings. Also weekends I can raid alot. I have raided in other games. Hey guys, sorry about any info regarding raids this week. I have been battling a fever of about 103 since saturday and am practically unable to speak. We will resume raids next wednesday with a hopeful GSB run. I am going to be sending out in game mails tomorrow to see who all can make it. IF we have enough we will be heading into GSB and trying our hands at some of the big bosses. Hope to see you all there!

I hope you start feeling better soon! I'm still very interested in participating and I'll be sure to commit as long as I have a little advance notice that we'll be meeting, an in-game mail should work fine :D

Hey all, We have 8/25 confirmed for raid on Wednesday. If we do not have enough confirmed for a 20 man, we will be running DH/GP. At this moment in time I am considering cutting back the raid times and only starting up a ten man group. I have been swamped with work and it has taken longer than expected to fill the roster for this raid. We shall see what happens in the future but I am hoping we have enough to step into GSB this week and hopefully we can get a good raid group running. <3 you all and see you on Weds!

Hey guys, We didn't get enough responses back for tonight. We will not be able to form up for GSB. Unfortunately we also don't have enough for a ten man at this point. And in other sad news, I just got hired on for a seasonal position at GameStop today so I am going to have to regretablly cancel this raid group. I am sorry that things did not pan out better and I hope you all have good luck finding homes in some of the other raid groups.
